Trendsetter Transitions Smoothies Yarn Reviews

Transitions Smoothies is a lovely gradient yarn in a cotton/acrylic blend that is perfect for lightweight accessories. It comes thoughtfully packaged in a clear vinyl bag with a hole, so you can knit right out of it! The generous 200 gram skein has about 880 yards making it perfect for a medium/large shawl!

One skein is enough to make one of the following patterns. Both are free from the Trendsetter website:

Overall Transitions Smoothies Rating: 1 out of 5 stars (1.0 based on 1 review)

Thankfully they DON’T set the trends 1 out of 5 stars (1 out of 5)
This review is for Trendsetter Transitions Smoothies in color 205, Volcano and Ash. One word: YUK. What a silly mess. The best thing about it is probably the zippered, cube-shaped clear plastic container it comes in. It is, literally, just 4 strands of virtual sewing thread, just hanging out together in this neat little previously mentioned bag. If you don’t have some spectacular needles, I would say don’t even bother, especially for how much Trendsetter wants for this not-yarn. Thankfully, I got it on a WW deal, and thankfully I do have some pretty spectacular needles, but I think I might probably rather knit Kidsilk Haze on bamboo needles than this silly mess. I am persevering, however, because I want a long and wide simple wrap and the colors are really nice, and there are 880 yards of this...stufff...but still, it is slow going and I can’t recommend this product. I feel like the finished product will look nice, if that day ever comes!
