I haven’t had a chance to knit with this yet, but it is a soft and full yarn. My only issue is that the color is way darker than the picture… almost black. I will use it, but not for the baby sweater intended.

This yarn is very soft, and the colorways are interesting. It is artisanal, so be prepared for variable colors, and occasional knots. It is GREAT for knitting hats.

Their chunky yarn is always a pleasure to knit with. Malabrigo is my all-time favorite yarn.

I have bought many skeins of Malabrigo chunky. I LOVE it for hats, and it would work well for cowls and other similar accessories. With that being said, it is kind of awful for garments in my opinion. When I made a cardigan, it knit up beautifully but then pilled and started shedding horribly almost immediately after I started wearing it. Maybe I just got unlucky with my yarn. I have made many hats with malabrigo chunky and never had this problem, probably because sweaters see a lot more friction than hats. Bottom line, I still love it and will continue to buy it, but only for accessories.

I got this for a present, as a present, assuming it would be fairly soft. It is BEYOND soft! This is the SQUOOSHIEST, smooshiest yarn, with such a lovely hand. I'm a lace knitter so working with bulky yarns always feels a little like a workout, but I love this yarn. When I go to make my husband an old man cardigan later this year, this is the yarn I'm going to come back and use.
