Welcome to your one-stop-shop for all things India! On Jimmy's Journey to India, we will visit the [mostly female!] artisans that craft our favorite products from brands like Knit Collage, Knitter's Pride, and Parveen Scissors. You can even join us to shop in markets across India and learn how to craft from the crafters themselves!
With your help, we will find souvenirs to buy along the way. You can shop the markets with us LIVE throughout the trip via Facebook for even more beautiful handmade goods like quilts, shawls, wooden blocks, and much, much more.
Hand-forged, artisan made scissors from India. The blades are made of carbonized steel and the handles are cast brass. For cutting threads, strings and paper. Right-handed. 5.25".
How to care for your handmade scissors:
To avoid damage to the blade setting, do not force a cut if you feel resistance. This may be the wrong scissors for the job, or your scissors or shears may need sharpening or repair.
Store scissors in dry place.
Periodically wipe the inside blade surfaces to keep them lint free; add a small drop of household oil at the assembly point to maintain smooth cutting action.
You may want to apply a light coating of oil on the scissors' blades and edges to prevent rust, especially if you live in a humid area, use the scissors in a humid environment, or want to store them for a long time.
