Inspired by the European river for which it is named, Danube Bulky is made from slow-striping fibers that flow with gorgeous color changes. Composed of 40% nylon, 30% wool, and 30% rayon, this yarn is soft yet durable and has a lovely sheen. Silk-like flecks within the yarn give it subtle texture for an appealing handspun look. Part of the River Collection, this yarn is also available in DK and aran weights, making it incredibly versatile and suitable for a number of projects!

lovely to work with 4 out of 5 stars (4 out of 5)
As other reviewers have said, this is definitely not what I'd consider bulky yarn. But I really enjoy working with it. The salsa colors are gorgeous. I bought 4 balls and was able to get 3 cloche hats out of it knitting with size 10.5 / 11 needles. I ended up buying all of the lemon berry that was left from this same line. Again, beautiful colors. I am expecting to get a 30x36 baby blanket out of 6 balls using size 11 needles - seed stitch around the edges and stockinette in the middle. If there is any salsa left once I've gotten through my next couple of projects, I'll be back for more.

Misleading....Definitely NOT Bulky Yarn!!! 1 out of 5 stars (1 out of 5)
I ordered 40 skeins thinking I was going to make 2 big blankets. When the 2 bags were delivered today I knew I wouldn't be happy. As another reviewer wrote, this should have been classified as DK. It isn't even close to any worsted yarn I have. What a shame <for me> because if I wanted to make a blanket I would need a lot more of it! I can't see 1 skein making a hat as is advertised in a kit with this yarn...unless it's for a baby. The colors are beautiful so that's the reason I even gave it 1 star. I got it on sale so I can't return any of the 40 skeins I am now stuck with.

Not really Bulky yarn 3 out of 5 stars (3 out of 5)
The yarn is alright, but I'd classify it more as a DK or light worsted weight. It's not Bulky.

Beautiful and soft 4 out of 5 stars (4 out of 5)
I used this for a scarf. Unfortunately, I absentmindedly began a straight stitch and was halfway through the scarf before I realized I should have done garter or moss. It curled and got ropey, but I was on a deadline, so the person got a ropey scarf.
