Churchmouse Classics Patterns - Basic Sock

Pattern is for two gauges (Fingering and Sport-weight). Our mothers (and their mothers) knew this sock by heart, with its vertical heel flap, turned heel, picked up gussets and grafted toe. For many of us, it's the first sock we learned and our point of departure into the ever widening world of socks. While we love some of the new approaches, we return again and again to this straightforward, comfy basic. Once you understand its simple structure, improvise to your heart's content.

Churchmouse Classics Patterns - Beaded Mohair Scarf

Tiny glass beads sit like raindrops on the gossamer web of this simple garter-stitch scarf. Lacy loops at the edges are created as you go with a yarn-over at the beginning of each row. But the real secret to the beauty of this piece is in the finishing. Slip blocking wires through each edge loop and steam press gently -transformation!

Churchmouse Classics Patterns - Felted Shetland Beret

This simple beret happened quite by accident. The designers at Churchmouse were re-scaling their favorite beret in Shetland DK and it turned out comically large.
