So soft! 5 out of 5 stars (5 out of 5)
I really enjoy working with Longwood. It gives lovely stitch definition. The yarn can be a bit splitty sometimes, but is easy to work with. It's bouncy and squishy and is not itchy at all!

Feels nice, but sizing is maybe a bit... 4 out of 5 stars (4 out of 5)
This being a machine washable yarn available in vivid primary colors, I ordered this yarn to make a Lego-themed hat for my nephew for Christmas, and I found it one of the more unique yarns I've worked with. In ball form, it felt almost spongey, strangely enough. It was very soft and squishy. As I worked with it, the fabric it produced was really nice and soft as well. However, no matter what I did, I could not get a hat that was the right size! I can't say it's entirely the yarn's fault, because I like to knit things at denser gauge than most knitters, and my hunch is that doing so really made the fabric much less elastic than it would have been if I had worked it at the specified gauge. And, well, I was tired after already working on a cowl, shawl, tote bag, and another hat. My gauge could have been slipping too. The bottom line, though, is that it's a really soft, squishy yarn that feels almost like foam if you squeeze it right. It would be great for the right project and in the right hands. It being machine washable is only a plus, especially for kids' projects. This yarn could even be used for baby projects if you wish because of its softness and washability.

I love knitting with Longwood. I have made hats and fingerless gloves with it this Christmas and the results are always lovely. It is soft and warm and shows stitch definition well.

Longwood is one of my favorites to go to for hats, gloves, and scarves. It is soft and warm and knits up with great definition. I plan on using this for a watch cap and fingerless gloves for my nephew.
