Beth Whiteside A former software professional, Beth now mixes her enthusiasm for words and numbers, yarn and fiber, teaching and learning, and design of all kinds into Beth Whiteside Design. She's taught classes locally in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2003, nationally at events like STITCHES since 2005, and online at Annie's Craft Store and Bluprint (formerly Craftsy). Her goal in creating and teaching classes is to further each student's knowledge and skills, opening their mind to new creative possibilities in the world of things made with string. Class content is broken down into manageable chunks that build on each other, presented in multiple ways to best match different learning styles. Beth's love of teaching is driven by a search for the "aha!" moment, the moment when light bulbs go on in her students' heads!
Anita Grover Anita Grover is fascinated with Tunisian Crochet. She hopes to encourage others to give it a try. She enjoys "paying it forward" by helping new people learn. She is passionate about designing new and exciting patterns. She is a team member of The Crochet Crowd, traveling with them, designing, planning and working live events. Anita is an intuitive Tunisian crocheter. She is always looking to "crack the code". She tries to understand the logic behind stitches. Often you will find her with a hook in hand while enjoying the sunshine. Since she found her love for Tunisian, she hasn't put her hook down. Her secret to designing is listening to her gut. If it feels right and lights her up, she goes with it. If she isn't feeling it, it's "ribbit" time. She enjoys leading students to the joy of Tunisian...watching them become independent Tunisian crocheters. What does it take to make Anita's day happy? Add yarn and a group of yarn lovers.
Jeanne Steinhilber Jeanne Steinhilber is the community chaperone and a team member with The Crochet Crowd. She learned to crochet as a child from her mom, but has become a resident designer for the website, inspired and mentored by Michael Sellick. She loves to incorporate texture into her crochet projects and her designs are usually fun to hook as she often likes to combine stitch combinations. Jeanne is known for her Hugs & Kisses Designs, #ModernGranny, and oodles of free, easy-to-complete patterns.
