In October of 2017, Jimmy Beans and Lorna's Laces raised over $5000 for breast cancer patients, and in 2018, we've partnered again to bring you The Year of Giving! Each month we'll highlight - and donate to - an organization that we feel passionate about.

SPCA Snow Dog Shawl Kit
Our indogural kit for January is here and it's guaranteed to give you the warm and fuzzies - literally! For every Snow Dog Shawl Kit sold, we're donating $5 directly to our local SPCA!
Each kit contains two hanks of Shepherd Sport in "Snow Dog", which is enough to knit the included Snow Dog Shawl pattern from Amanda Jarvis of Lorna's Laces.

Is Jack Frost nipping at your nose? He is if he's your pup and not sporting the latest fashion! Adorn your doggo in one of these smart sweaters and he'll be licking your nose in no time!

We've been training hard with Lorna's Laces and designer Lara Smoot to get ready for the 2018 Winter Games with our Speckles & Stripes Sock Knit-Along! During this interactive KAL, you'll knit along with us and our USA athletes! As they add medals to their stash, we'll add faux cables to our Olympia socks, so that by the night of the Closing Ceremony, you'll have a knitted record of the number of U.S. medals won!
Knitting and sports have more in common than just yardage - head to the blog to find out why!

Ameri-kitty Tube Socks
And let's not forget about our cathletes! The upcoming Speckles & Stripes Sock KAL might be geared towards humans, but with the leftover bits you can knit a matching pair for your cat! Ruth Mayer shows us the way with her Kitty Tube Socks.
Gold medals to the kitties that will actually wear them!

The ASPCA not only seeks to protect companion animals, but farm animals too! That's why we thought we'd highlight one of our favorite sheep-friendly companies - Baa Ram Ewe.
|
Baa Ram Ewe
Located in the town of Leeds in the United Kingdom, Baa Ram Ewe's mission is to once again make Yorkshire famous for wool production, and reconnect the world to its woolly heritage. By working with these yarns you're helping to preserve skills, sustain genetic diversity in the "wool pool," and support a wider local industry that's been central to the history and development of both urban and rural Yorkshire.
