This is Susan's traveling shawl, so of course she had to bring it with her to our summer retreat! Susan whipped this shawl up on US 10.5 needles, in a Berroco Fuji. It's like a warm coxy blanket of a shawl...with a twist! She knit the pattern off the cuff, creating large holes in the fabric by binding off 5 sts on one row and increasing 5 sts on the next row in the same spot where the stitches were bound off. She alternated the placement of the holes so that it spaced them out. The overall effect is really cool!
Susan also gave us a list of all of the places her shawl has been, including: The Great Wall of China, through the Panama Canal, Parliment in London, the U.S. Capitol, the top of the Eiffel Tower, and on a transatlantic crossing on the Queen Mary 20...just to name a few! So much fun this shawl has had!
