Beautiful Necklace
I put a cord through the holder on this cutter and wear it as a necklace. It is especialy nice to use when flying ...scissors and such not being allowed. TSA has no clue there is razor blade inside. Shooohhh...don't tell them! Not only easy to get through inspection, but makes a pretty necklace too.

Soft and Great Colors
I used this yarn for a collar pattern that uses Noro Silk Gardens. This is a much softer substitute. The colors self-stripe Lake blends beautifully from blues to purples, Sunset blends bright oranges and violet. Super soft and machine washable with a really reasonable price, who could ask for more. It is a single ply yarn which game me to splitting problems. This yarn now comes in a super bulky weight that looks like it shades just as beautifully in bright as well as more subtle colors. Can't wait to try it.

Not Soft As Expected
I have knitted with Berroco Vintage before, nice yarn. So I had no hesitation about ordering Vintage DK. A different size only, right? Wrong. It feels soft in the skein, I began to wonder tho as I wound it into a ball. Then I started my project. To my dismay, the knitted yarn reminded me strongly of the old fashioned cotton string that we used to tie our packages to send them in the US Mail! Not happy. Now I am shy of even Vintage. Too bad, they have such lovely colors!

Stitch Red - Thank you Laura
In association with Vogue Knitting, Jimmy Beans’ Wool founder Laura Zander presents this third installment in her bestselling stitch series to give crocheters a chance to contribute to the fight against women's heart disease! You can buy this book at Barnes & Noble for $14.09. Plus, if you are a B&N member, shipping is free. This book is for crocheters, and there is also a book for knitters $14.40and one for sewers. You can review the books page by page for as far as the publisher will allow, including pictures of all the patterns in the book, and I have already found 2 or 3 patterns I had intended to buy separately, as well as some new ones I might try, so the Stitch Red Crochet and Knitting books should be a good purchase for me.

Chunky Mocha Separates
I bought several of this yarn because I wanted to knit one of those adorable ribbed hats for my great-grandson. However, as I worked with it it seemed to separate where the colors same together... just came apart with a gentle tug. This is the third time in a row that I have seriously thought about sending yarn back to Jimmy. Am I just in a yarn slump or are others having the same problems with this yarn?

Would Never Buy Again
The colors are wonderful and love the way they self-stripe. However, you can't count on the consistency of this product. The first skein was okay if you don't mind scratchy and the little bits that feel like straw but aren't. However, the rest of the skeins were very badly inconsistent in weave, going from a fingering weave to very bulky and in a one-strand yarn, this really shows. The skein had 3 knots and 3 very bulky sections in it and and that was only 1 skein! Having 6 areas that had to be merged in 1 skein, I threw it down in disgust and didn't bother to finish the project. I'm asking Jimmy to take it back in exchange for something else. I've never done that before so you can see how disgusted I am with this yarn.

Keep Yarn on the Needles
I had trouble also with the yarn falling off the needles. A hotel maid knocked my scarf on the floor and it landed in a bundle. I had to rip it out and knit it all over, and it was almost done! So I solved the problem by 1) putting it away in a drawer to avoid temptation, 2) wrapping the ends of the needles with rubber bands to keep the yarn from falling off the end. Now when I put it down for awhile, I put the needles together and wrap the ends again with rubber bands to keep them together until I'm ready to start knitting again.
