Great yarn
I really like this yarn!
I'm making a baby sweater and I'm very pleased with the smoothness and wonderful stitch definition. It's very soft with a light sheen. It's one cotton that does not hurt my hands even after hours of knitting. I'll be re-ordering!

Happily Surprised!
I'm using this for baby clothes and it's wonderful! Soft, washable, good yardage/price and it doesn't split or snag like the worsted and dk versions.
I'd like to use it more often but the color selection is very limited.

Great needles!
I had heard square needles help to even tension but I wasn't happy with the more expensive brand and returned them. JBW customer service recommended Nova Cubics. I'm very happy to say it's true, my tension is more even.
The needles are very smooth, with no snagging at needle/cord join. Nice sharp tips and a flexible cord.

One of my favorites!
I've searched for a lighter cotton or cotton blend for warm weather projects and took a chance on this. I love it! It knits up evenly with a nice drape and a light sheen. It doesn't have that heavy feel some cottons do, perhaps it's the bamboo. Washes well and doesn’t grow as the day goes on. I wish there were more choices in the solid colors.

Couldn't be more pleased!
A lovely yarn that's a joy to knit! No problems with splitting and no knots in the 5 skeins I've used.
Finally a superwash that doesn't lose stitch definition or become limp and floppy after washing. It's very soft and has a springy texture that's perfect for baby items.
I made a cardigan and was really impressed that the 1112 Red DID NOT bleed at all.

Disappointed by Pure Wool line AGAIN!
I rarely feel bad enough about a yarn that I come back and leave a negative response but this is my 2nd bad experience with the Rowan's Pure Wool line.
Both the 4 ply and the DK versions behave well UNTIL they are washed. Then the fabric becomes so limp that all stitch definition is lost. I understand that's the accepted compromise when using superwash wools but what is not acceptable is the amount the fabric grows measured in inches and completely changes the sizing.
I did have some success with cautiously machine drying the 4-ply. But, this is baby gift and I doubt the parents will appreciate the involved care especially with a newborn in the house.
Isn't that the point of using superwash, easier care?
I expected more from Rowan...
BTW, the dk project is a goner.

Radical change after washing!
I used this yarn for a child's pullover. I swatched, got gauge and all went well until I washed it per label. The fabric relaxes to the point that it grows by inches, completely throwing off the sizing. Even if I had washed the swatch I don't think I could have compensated for the growth. I really should have checked the Ravelry comments prior to purchase...
