This is my number one pick for making hats. The yarn never splits or pills, its machine washable, comes in bright colors, and I can get 2 hats from 1 skein.

depending on what kind of patterns you're looking for, Verena will either be an investment or a waste. As beautiful as their patterns are, I have discovered that they are mostly useless unless you're 5'9, 130. Beautiful, well photographed, but not something I can wear to the Christmas Party.

I bought the full set a year ago and realized the Denise Brand really sticks to their lifetime warranty! After that, I was so impressed that I allowed myself to cast on for other projects and bought the companion set. It comes as pictured - extra cords, ends and connectors in a plastic bag. Not the prettiest setup, but easily taped to the original set so I don't get things confused.

Stitch Nation has a wonderful selection of colors, is moderately priced, and so versitile as far as projects go. It is a great choice for projects for kids or donation - it withstands wear and tear without fading. I love it!

I have never knit socks. I dont know if I plan on knitting socks, but I am in love with just looking at this yarn. The colorway is beautiful and I know it will work well with my needles, I have no worries.

Bought this on impulse, 2 hanks for a hat and mitt combo. This yarn is filled with gorgeous colors and its soft and fluffy- my only concern is that it will pill or split while knitting. But if thats all I have to deal with, its worth every penny.

I bought 3 balls of this and I absolutely love touching it! It's so soft and light, perfect for a summer shrug.
