Sandy loves
Stitch Magazine and the Fall 2013 Issue has tons of great little projects. She was immediately taken with this cute little project bag, that can be worn easily on the wrist for easy walking or standing and knitting with smaller projects. Sandy says this project was really quick and simple, it's reversible, and it doesn't take much fabric at all-- just a half a yard of fabric total. She just used two 1/4 yard scraps from her stash but we think it would also look great in some of our new Batik fabrics from Michael Miller! The pattern shows instructions for hand painting your own muslin fabric to create a completely customized bag. In lieu of that and to save time, Sandy just used pre-printed fabric. She also recommends pre-folding and pressing the edge of openings while the bag is inside out to make it much simpler when you turn the bag right side out and sew the final seams. What a great gift item to make for your knitting friends, or anyone who needs a cute little pouch to carry smaller items around with them!
