Jeanne has been knitting up a storm lately but what else is new?, trying to use up stash yarn while creating gifts for friends and family. She found a pattern in Brave New Knits for knitted flowers used scrap yarn of Koigu's KPPPM and Rowan's Kidsilk Haze that were lying around in her stash, left over from finished projects. She stacked two of the flowers on top to create depth, sewed felted sweater bits for the backing, and topped them off with a cute button! Obtaining pin backs from a nearby craft store and hair clips from a local beauty supply store, she made all sorts of fun accessories for her friends and family to wear in their hair and pin to their clothes, bags, and anywhere else they could think of! She had tons of fun with this project while also using up scrap yarn that was just too good to throw away-perfect for stash bustin' and beginner lace projects!
