Taken from Crochet in Color: "An unusual color is enough to make a flattering shape stand out...It is tightly gathered at the waist in one spot on the back and each side of the front with nicely shaped armholes and a slight puff on the sleeves. A narrow lace pattern fills the edging and collar, and only half-double crochet is needed to work the body."

This pattern is in Crochet in Color, page 17.
Size US F crochet hook and seven 3/8" buttons are required but not included.
