Fit for every day use in stripes and lace, the construction is side to side in the upper portion, with stitches easily picked up in the loops around the shaped triangle and knit down in lace. A picot edging is then knit on around the entire shawl border. The pattern uses about 385 yards each of a main color and a contrast color and includes instructions to calculate requirements for different yardages based on a percentage system.
