I adore this bag, and I speak as someone who owns more knitting bags than any human being should. Even my husband, who barely notices knitting bags despite their constant presence in our home, noticed and approved of this one. It isn't full of zippers and snaps, so if you're looking for a bag to act as combination purse/knitting bag, this isn't for you. But it IS big enough to contain a whole project, nice wide opening, it has enough pockets to handle things like fair isle projects, and the drop length on the straps is perfect. It is the perfect compromise for those of us who are more basket than bag knitters. And it is pretty and sturdy enough that yes, I can see using it for something other than a knitting bag.
