This is an easy great looking sweater to knit. I have already made 2 of them for my grandsons 1 extra small and 1 extra small using size smaller needles for a size smaller sweater. They love them.
great pattern for guys.... easy to knit. there are a few things missing from pattern ie: i-cord for hood string and picking up stitches for hood are vague pick up placket stitches or not?? other than that... it's knitting pure & simple :-
This pattern is very easy to follow, and uses basic techniques that even someone new to knitting can follow. The design allows for very easy sizing adjustments, just follow the sizing listed for the chest size. Sleeve and torso length can be altered just by adding or ommitting as many rows of stockinette stitch as needed. It allowed me to easily make a great fitting sweater for my extra tall, but very slim son. He loves it and has requested another in a different color!
Well-written and easy to follow. She gives you a 'heads-up' that the instructions for the neck are going to seem strange and to just follow along. I did and I came out perfectly. I am now happily knitting the body with Cascade Eco Wool and it is coming together beautifully. This is my second project with the Eco wool and I love it as well. I know it will be a hit.
I haven't made this actually pattern, but I have done knit two other Knitting Pure and Simple from the top down sweaters and ordered this to try at some point. I would recommend Knitting Pure and Simple patterns.
