This is an intermediate lace project. This shawl began as a pattern for the crown of a baby's cap in 1840. It features a lovely star pattern in the center, and is knitted in the round. The pattern comes out of a beautiful, recent publication called "Victorian Lace Today." Not only is it a pattern book for lace, but it doubles as a coffee table book with wonderful shots of the English countryside, as well as providing a thorough history of Victorian-era lace and lace knitters.
Kit includes Yarn. Pattern Book is optional.
Pattern is in Victorian Lace Today.
Suggested US 7 16" - 40" as stitch number increases circular needles and US 7 double points not included.
Gauge is 18 sts = 4".
