Grayson E - Large Beaded Handles

Handmade beaded handles. 6" tall and 6.5" wide, stretches to 5" tall and 10" wide, if desired, when attached.
Grayson E. Fine Art Handles are created through a 6-step process:- First colorful and unique patterns are created by combining solid colors of polymer clay into a block. This block, measuring approximately 2"x 2" x 4-8", is called a cane.
- Next, using a sharp blade, the canes are cut into paper-thin slices, which are then wrapped around a small bead of clay.
- The wrapped bead is hand-rolled into a sphere or other shape and cured in an oven.
- The holes in the cured beads are made with a custom-modified drill press.
- The beads are then ready for 1 or 2 coats of gloss varnish applied with a small brush to protect the surface and add depth and richness to the beads.
- Finally the finished beads are combined on an armature with acrylic, resin, and sometimes wood beads. The result is a unique Grayson E. Fine Art Handle. Each is a custom work of art.
