This simple beret happened quite by accident. The designers at Churchmouse were re-scaling their favorite beret in Shetland DK and it turned out comically large. "Hey," they thought, "might as well felt it!" The result was pretty cool. And remarkably soft after all the washing. This sparked another innovative idea and they tried it with a fingering weight wool. The result was a lightweight, lofty and not too warm beret!
