This is a fantastic pattern for those wanting to move on from basic beanies. The pattern is easy to follow and it creates such a great texture that it makes boring old one colour yarns worth knitting with. I have made one so far and will be making another almost straight away. Thank you 2 Askew - I don't know how you thought up the pattern but I love it.

I love the texture this pattern creates on the body of the sock--just love it. The only thing you have to keep in mind when getting started is that the double yarn over, while not something you'll find in many glossaries--is just that. Do two yarn overs in a row! Fun to knit, and I learned a new stitch!
