I received my order today and continue to be amazed at how FAST I always receive shipments from Jimmy Beans Wool! I sometimes think the only way I could shop from your store and get my things home is if I lived down the street from your shop. OH - and I forget just who helped me on line (live) - I bought the Lorna's Laces turquoise and you know how computer screens are with representing colors - well the rep went out of her way and asked several employees and customers if the turquoise color was a true color or more teal (I was concerned it would be on the teal side). The yarn color was just what I was hoping it would be - a true turquoise! Just wanted to thank you all for always going the extra mile in all you do: live chat help, info from phone calls I have made, sending orders out super fast, offering good quality yarns and supplies, great email communication IF an item should be on back order, easy to navigate website and website design that is not just user friendly but has a very nice look to it, is more than informative, and fun to visit I also love the product reviews - which are helpful (and fun and educational) more than you know. It's very helpful to see how a yarn will knit up and to get honest and true opinions on them.

I just received my order, and am so pleased with everything.
I called the store yesterday and spoke with Amber because I wasn't sure if the Cotton Ball in the Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece I ordered would be too white for my intended project. She looked at it and compared it to a couple other choices in similar yarns and suggested I stick with the BSCF Cotton Ball. She was completely right--the Cotton Ball looks good with the other colors and doesn't appear too white at all.
I really appreciate how she took the time to look into other options for me and I value her advice (a few months back she looked at color combinations and gave me her advice via your online chat feature, and likewise I completely agreed with her suggestion and was very happy when I saw the yarn).

I live in West Virginia, but I browse your online store pretty regularly. When my brother, who lives in Reno, told me that his significant other had decided to try to learn to knit, I emailed her and suggested that she come to see you. I knew you would take good care of her. When Julie visited you she came away with a bit of yarn, some needles and the feeling that she had some support for her beginning efforts. So thank you!! People who are not part of the knitting community cannot begin to understand the importance of their LYS and the community that exists around it. The first visit is so important in making them feel included and in getting them started on the right foot. As expected, you guys did just that!

I just had to tell you how quickly I received my recent order of an Addi turbo circular needle. There was no hope of getting it locally because of the unusual size so I ordered it late Thursday afternoon and had it in my hands by noon on Saturday. Unbelievable. I'm spending the weekend happily making infant hats for the local hospital ( five so far!).

I am buying this with my Christmas bonus so these things are for me. I just wanted you to know that I live in a rural Alabama town that has no knitting supplies. The nearest shop is 60 miles away so it is inconvenient for me to get needles or patterns without driving 3 hours round trip. Hello,
I have been ordering fiber materials from the net for years. The availability in my area is very poor so I have to look elsewhere.
As you might imagine I have ordered from a lot of places, and most are very good at reasonable shipping time, some better that others. But I have to say you people are SCARY FAST! I'm almost afraid to think about placing an order cause it might be in my mail box the next day!
So whenever I need anything I come to Jimmy Beans Wool first! Besides, I was born and raise in Las Vegas and it feels good dealing with people in my home state.

Last night at bunco there were several of us knitters in attendance. I started telling the group how the customer service at Jimmy Beans is one of the best I've ever seen. Several of the ladies also recounted stories of how great your customer service is. In an economy where people are really watching their money, your prices are also some of the best we've seen. I won't even buy yarn at my local shop (unless in a pinch) because her prices are almost $6 higher on some skeins.

I just wanted to say thank you for the excellent service on my order!
I ordered two different shipments and on one the computer accidentally let me choose yarn the wasn't in stock and on the other I accidentally put the wrong expiration date for my credit card info. On monday when I checked my e-mail after work I saw notifications regarding the issues with both orders. It was already six o'clock but I tried calling and was so happy that even though it was after hours someone was still there to answer the phone! The woman who helped me was super nice and helped me pick out a different color of yarn to replace the out of stock items and got my correct credit card info and shipped everything out together that same night.
I just thought that was really great and was so excited to see that my yarn had already arrived today! I'm using it to make christmas gifts so the sooner I can start, the better :) With other companies I've found that whenever those types of complications pop up with my orders it can take days and sometimes even a week or more to resolve. So I was very pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was able to get my order. I wish I could remember the name of the woman who helped me, but if you can tell from my order number who it was, then send her an extra thanks from me! Hello Friends,
Just last week I ordered three skeins of Creative Focus Chunky (Nashua) yarn for a vest I am working on. There was an error in the pattern and I had not purchased enough yarn to finish the garment completely. My yarn shop had discontinued this particular yarn . After countless phone calls to various yarn shops your name and number was given to me.
I want to let you know that the young lady who answered the phone was so accommodating . She found the yarn I needed, sent it out as soon as she could and when it arrived here last Friday, two days after my order was taken, I was thrilled. The match was perfect!!

You guys are GREAT!!! I wanted to get in touch with you right after I received my order from you. I ordered one skein of sock yarn (to finish a pair of socks for my daughter) on a Friday morning, and I had it in my hands in Mid-Michigan before noon the following Monday. I have never had such great response. I was able to finish the sock with no shade discrepancy and now I'm making a matching pair for my granddaughter. It's so much fun!
As far as your Newsletter goes, I really like it. My mouth watered when I saw all the yarn. And, the patterns, I can't wait to try that shrug, but I have to wait!

Jimmy Beans Wool is pretty much the ONLY place I buy my knitting supplies from now.. such a fantastic site.. where to begin!?
First off, the search options are so detailed I can always find exactly what I need without sifting through page after page of random things.
The selection of yarns and needles offered here is massive.. yarns using ever fiber you can imagine offered in a kaleidoscope of colors and needles in any size and length -- most that I can't find anywhere else!
The free shipping codes are awesome for repeat customers.. love that!
What I love most about this great company is their rocket fast shipping! ALWAYS gets to me two days after ordering (which has saved me more than once getting my knitting orders out on time!!) My last order was placed at around 5-6pm on a Thursday evening there was my package in my mailbox early Saturday morning! Now THAT is some great service!

Hi ladies!
Several months ago, I contacted your shop to order an Ab Fab kit. I couldn't decided on a color choice, so one of your kind ladies there went and grabbed a few kits I was interested in and brought them to the phone to describe the colors within each kit.
Well, I have to admit the service you give to your customers is pretty amazing, and because of your superior service I did get the perfect Ab Fab kit. I selected the Waterlilies colorway. I really really want to say you guys are the best on Customer Service. I forgot to add that in my order comment this morning, so I'll say it here. I do a bit of online purchasing, and find your timeliness rivals Amazon's, and feels so much more personal!
The care you take in completing each order accurately and very timely is most welcome. I love the (almost) "instant gratification" of receiving what I've ordered so soon after I've made my choices; so far the longest it's taken is 5 days, and usually it's only 3 or 4. When I requested something that was out of stock recently, I heard from you within a day giving me options about how I could adapt my order.

Last Saturday night I broke one of my beloved Addi turbo lace needles. We have lots of yarn shops in town and most of them carry some Addi's - none of them reliably stock all Addi's. So I could have gotten in the car on Sunday and gone from place to place and still come home empty handed. So I googled instead.
I found many options but I picked yours because you said you would ship on Monday and your shipping price was exceedingly
reasonable (oh, and you had the size I needed). It is 2 pm on Wednesday and I have my replacement needles in hand. And a cute little gift (nice touch). So, I figured I'd better get some backups and this time I paid attention to other stuff on your site and also ordered that hand cream and a book.

It got me thinking why do I patronage a wool shop across the country?
Two things come to mind, great prices and fantastic service. I suppose I could add a large array of stock too.
Don't get me wrong, I support my LYShops as best I can. Quite frankly I'm tired of their bad moods and attitudes. I've worked in retail and I know it is often hard to keep the smile on your face when you feel horrid, but that's part of the job.
Any way, my experience of JBW has been wonderful. I wish you continued success in your "small" business.

Dear Knitterly People at Jimmy Beans,
I noticed that there was an invitation to send feedback about the newsletter at the end of the newsletter. I was happy to see it there because as I read through the email and clicked links of interest, I noted how much I enjoy reading the newsletter each month.
I particularly like the variety of products highlighted and always check out the sale section as well. I haven't done that yet this month, but I did look at the Vintage Soaps already and am going to buy some to give at Christmas. I like seeing what the JB knitters are workig on, too. I get the idea that your company really knows knitters because your people are knitters. Jimmy Beans is the only online yarn source website that I visit and really shop at, in the sense of wandering all over the place and looking at everything.
I appreciate the job you do and thank you for having the newsletter.

I certainly understand about the magazine. There is a pattern in there for the Heather Hoodie in Knitscene that everyone is wild about. I'm surprised that they don't consider offering the pattern as a kit with the yarn; it's that popular.
Would you please send the yarn out, then in the one to two weeks (I'll keep my fingers crossed for one week :) send out the Knitscene magazine?

I just wanted to say thank you for the great "how to" videos. I recently purchased the Shoalwater Shawl pattern, but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to do the provisional cast on. I recently ordered yarn from you because I couldn't find the color I wanted locally. I am especially pleased at how helpful your people are and I wanted to tell you about it. Ashley put together a sample of all the pink choices in Tahki Cotton Classics and mailed it very quickly.
The yarn I ordered arrived very quickly as well (I believe Ashley sent it). And finally, when I had a question about the pattern I am working on, even though I didn't get it from you, Kristen called me back to try to figure it out. After consulting with another person, she was able to answer my question and I have made significant progress on my sundress.
I never imagined buying yarn from online because (a) I like having relationships with my local yarn stores and (b) I need to see and feel what I'm buying. Despite my nervousness, this was a wonderfully positive experience. I can't promise to buy all my knitting supplies from you because of those reasons I mentioned but Jimmy Beans Wool will be the website I go to for everything I can't find locally.

I can't believe how amazing you guys are! I ordered my one ball of yarn on Saturday and it arrived today (Monday) and with the same dyelot I needed - incredible and lucky! I had been trying to get one last ball of yarn from my yarn shop and the owner either ignored me or couldn't be bothered for over a month and finally, exasperated and desperate I looked on line and found you - wish I hadn't been so pigheaded wanting to check the yarn before I bought it.

I finished a pair of socks on Friday morning and started a new pair. Later that afternoon, one of my darling children managed to break two needles when they plopped down on my knitting :-/ I googled to find replacements and placed my order Friday night. Since it was later, I thought they wouldn't ship until Monday, so imagine my surprise when your package arrived bright and early Monday morning! I just had a quick live chat with Laura and I'd like to tell you how much I love Jimmy Beans Wool! I just moved back home to California after finishing school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which is where I learned to knit. I was fortunate enough to have a LYS 10 miles from my house, but now that I'm back home the closest one is almost 50 miles away!!! Jimmy Beans shipped my order so fast that I don't think I could have gotten it in person any faster AND I bought some yarn for my stash that I've never used before and bought only because of the review on your site, which was dead on. On Monday, November 24, your November Newsletter arrived in my inbox. I scrolled through it until I came upon the picture of the Supermerino from Artyarns. I had just (less than an hour before) found out I was going to be a grandma for the first time! Needless to say, this yarn spoke to me about a zip-up-the-back baby sweater for my new grandchild.
Imagine my surprise when on Friday of the same week (and Thursday was Thanksgiving - so no mail. . . ) I received the treasured package and have happily begun the sweater for our new baby. This baby will live in Austria with Dad (our son) and Mom (an Austrian native) - so I love having made in USA (and handpainted in NY - where I live!) items to share baby's dual heritage!

I just received my order yesterday - you guys are the absolute quickest at shipping orders out! I had some yarn custom dyed on Etsy and it was supposed to ship to me last week and I still have yet to receive it - and I know I only placed my order with you on the first (was up bright and early to see what the Nov. color would be)
But what I am writing about this time is the colors in this month's Lorna's Laces just almost put me over the edge. I don't know how many colors they managed to include in this colorway - but you don't know where to look first. Almost feel like not using a skein and just keeping it out to look at :-) Anyway I was so taken by it I had to order 3 more. Oh, you know what - it almost reminds me of a Mother's Ring with the different birthstones in it. My son's Nov. Topaz is there, a tiny bit of my Mother's Amethyst, my favorite Aunt's Garnet, an almost light Emerald for my daughter, and an almost Ruby for me
This is better than chocolate and I never thought I'd be cought saying that - but this tops it all - this has to be the best of all of the ltd. edition colors to date - IMHO.
It seems (to me) to have a different sheen to it for some reason too - maybe it's just be being excited over another new Lorna's Laces color - I don't know.
I have a pattern from Fiddlesticks Knitting for "One Ball Warmers" (4 designs) really pretty "neck warmers" (takes 105m or 115 yds each I think) and this Thanksgiving - assuming I finish my socks in the sock wt. I also ordered and my neck warmer - holy cow - I could have a peanut butter sandwich for Thanksgiving and feel like a queen! These colors are ME. My daughter's girlfriend has a November birthday and HOPEFULLY my fingers will have my things done in time for me to make a neck warmer for Nicki too.
Thank all of you SO MUCH - I visited my LYS this weekend and it has over time begun to pale way over the edge by comparisson by your on line shop and all you offer.
Off to wind my yarn before I go to work. You guys are all awesome!!!!!

This is note to thank the Staff @Jimmy Beans for the fast & speedy delivery of my order. I placed it approximately Oct 3(?). Then on Oct 4, got an email advising me order is on the way, and then on Oct 6....It arrived in my mailbox!!! I just couldn't believe it. I just received my package today and I have to tell you - your website is always very nice looking but this Amber Rose yarn (feature color for October) - well I don't believe any photo could do it justice. The many colors in it - shades of rose, pink, salmony pink into the pewter gray, etc. it just takes your breath away. Just stunning! Amber must be so thrilled to have this yarn named for her.
The other yarns I ordered are wonderful too, as always. I was a month late in ordering the Gone Fishing and later still with the Franklin's Panopticon. The other yarn I ordered was the Indie Dyer custom dyed super sock select in the Gourd color. Those colors are so rich but still almost vintage dusty autumn colors. Almost a poetic combination.
Just wanted to thank you for not only offering wonderful yarns in a super wide selection but also for offering color combinations that satisfy the artist in me. You continue to WOW me with each new purchase.

It's a fairly cool thing that you process and ship orders so quickly because the yarn gets to me while I'm still in that "honeymoon" phase of a project: dreaming and planning what the yarn will become. I just received my order from Jimmy Beans Wool. It felt like my birthday and Christmas rolled into one, or I should say, rolled into beautiful balls of yarn. I have only been knitting for 6 weeks now but the addiction is so strong that I have ordered from 3 online stores but only Jimmy Beans has fed my addiction properly. The website is the most comprehensive site I have ever seen. From the incredible vibe of the website to the incredibly quick delivery time, I am hooked. You can feel the love and dedication to the art of knitting just by looking, through the site. Each page gives such great descriptions of the yarn and clear and beautiful photos and if that were not enough, many come with videos, which are so helpful to beginners, like myself. My favorite is the wish list option and mine is already overflowing! I am writing to thank you. Thank you for being such an awesome store and providing great customer service.
I recently placed an order with another online yarn shop because they had a particular closeout yarn (JBW did not carry it). It is no longer being produced and they had the yarn for a great price. I feel like I am cheating on you and feel terrible for even telling you this. Sorry. I received confirmation of this order from the other shop and then another confirmation of shipment. When I finally received the package and noticed that four balls of yarn were missing, I read the packing slip which said one of the colors I wanted was discontinued. They did not have any stock to send me. My frustration? They did not communicate to me until I received my package that they did not have one of the colors I needed for a project. Yes, I am now short a color for my project. This has never happened to me when I order from JBW. I always receive a nice email from you advising of any delays and I am so thankful for that.
I wish I could buy everything I want from your shop. If I lived in the area, I would probably live in your shop. I shop at JBW for a variety of reasons, but mostly because of the service. Thank you for being so awesome!

You can send the batch of yarn with 2 dye lots, it won't be a problem with the pattern I have.
