Bonnie, one of our online customers, sent us this photo of an amazing afghan she made for her friend of 36 years and we could pass up a chance to share it with you! Using a simple cable afghan pattern from the Leisure Arts booklet "
I Can't Believe I'm Knitting!" as a starting point (she did make a couple changes like using moss stitch for the boarder instead of garter stitch), and not spending too much time worrying about gauge, she spent 230 hours to complete this heirloom project. Even though the pattern was for beginners, she felt it was more of an intermediate level pattern. Bonnie chose Encore Chunky in color #999, a deep maroon, for the blanket. Plymouth is one of her go-tos; she's been using it for her knitting projects for 20 years! Thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous handiwork with us, Bonnie.
