A friend's wife wanted a red white and blue cowl. I was worried about bleeding, so instead of using individual red, white and blue yarns I thought I would try the Liberty colorway as it was dyed specifically to be red, white and blue.
What a nightmare. I prewashed the cowl hand wash, using cold water and the mild soap that I always use to wash my woollens and the colors bled enough to turn the water purple. Now the cowl is red, PINK, and blue. I have re-washed it 4 times in an attempt to get rid of the pink and now it just looks old/ratty AND pink. This yarn also sheds and pills and left tons of fibers in the sink and on the towel. What a waste of money.

Great for texture stitches. Stands up to frogging. I got this to make a hat and loved it so much, I will be getting enough to make a matching sweater. |

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this yarn is super soft, knits up great, and is all but free from frizzy knots. I was led to it by a free Jimmy Bean’s pattern and couldn’t be happier with the result. My yarn was delivered for free and arrived in only a few days. Lorna’s Laces and Jimmy Bean’s are both worthy of 5 stars!! |

Bought this to experiment with cabling and just love it! The stitch definition is really nice and crisp with just a touch of softness. The feel is buttery. Worth every penny. |

I am using this for a sweater and it is working up beautifully! So soft, such a pleasure to work with. |

I am in the process of placing an order and was pleased to see the swatch for this yarn. So often it is hard to judge the effect of verigated yarn. The swatches helped immensely. I hope this is an upward trend at Jimmy’s! |

I love this wool because it's so soft. Great to knit with. Use it as a British double knitting but for some patterns it's a bit thick. my go to brand. |
