| New della Q, new Cocoknits, & next MT Sweater Club
It's finally December, which means we've reached the end of our year-long pop-up extravaganza! We're so happy to hear your thoughts and opinions about the shops we featured, and we're even more excited for the potential of sharing something new and fresh with you all! With the weather getting colder and we start bundling up more, we're pleased to announce the year's final pop-up shop!
Drumroll please...
Say hello to Martin's Lab!
|
|
Inspired by the magic of everyday life, Marcin of Martin's Lab creates beautiful colorways based on objects in his garden, on the street, in museums, and on his trips. There's beauty in things often overlooked, like bushes on the side of the road or the earthy tones of nearby creeks and ravines. Marcin loved the artful nature of the fiber arts community so much that he gave up his Ph.D. studies for it - we're impressed by the dedication! He also loves his family to bits, creating colorways at his children's request, and we gotta say - we're a little jealous!

Big Singles: When we say big, we mean BIG. This super bulky, single-ply yarn is crafted out of 80% superwash Merino wool and 20% nylon for some added strength. Not only is the yarn itself big, but its personality is too as it glides over our needles with ease, making each project a dream to complete. Due to its large and in charge nature, any project using this yarn will knit up in a jiffy!
Silkpaca: We have to admit, we're always on the prowl for something soft and luxurious. This month we came across Martin's Lab Silkpaca yarn, a lightweight blend of silk and alpaca! The alpaca lends softness to the fiber while the silk creates a gorgeous sheen that will dazzle all of your friends!
Tibetan DK: This plied yarn is a dream to work with! This mind-blowing blend of Merino wool, yak, and silk makes this choice not only gorgeous but strong as well! The yak and silk add a little bit of shine to the wool, keeping everything as soft as possible, and we can't wait to snuggle up in projects made with this yarn!
Our in-house Design Dutchess, Amy Gunderson, was inspired by the gift-giving of Christmas, vowing to make accessories to give as wonderful presents for friends and family! Using unique color combinations and textures, she was so excited to create something that could be passed off to your loved ones (or for yourself, hehe) this holiday season!
Are you interested in learning more about Martin's Lab? We totally get it because we were too! By checking out our latest blog post, you can get all of the details about Martin's Lab, like how they got their start in the fiber arts industry, what they're inspired by, and even a silly question like how they would design a fiber-themed parade float!

It's always sweater weather when it comes to makers - in the frigid cold and sweltering heat, there will always be someone with a sweater or cardigan on their needles, and for that, we commend you! We've been eyeing two exclusive Madelinetosh shades, and have decided to follow in the footsteps of many before us - by making a sweater out of them, of course!
Of course, we need to share! In the newest edition of the Madelinetosh Sweater Club, cast on with other makers who are just as excited as you to get this project started! This quarter's project is the Minimal Pullover by Joji Locatelli! Starting on January 20th, this project is the perfect way to get into those wintery vibes, while still being able to wear the sweater right into spring (can you believe we're already considering spring? What happened to the way time passed this year?)!
Olive You: Inspired by the pines and their needles crunching underfoot, this warm green shade is peppered with speckles of turquoise and brown, reminiscent of the towering forests that spread across the landscape.
Unbreakable: Now imagine those same trees covered in snow! This colorway is a beautiful white with speckles of teal and green, reminding us of the snowstorms that batter the mountaintops.
The Madelinetosh Sweater Club also comes with an exclusive della Q project bag to hold all of your yarn without worry! The bag closes with a drawstring making it super easy to retrieve your project when you settle down to knit!
Interested in joining but unsure of a few things? Email us over at [email protected] with your questions about ease, fit, and whatever size may be best for you and we will respond ASAP! Would you rather a phone call? Email us and we'll set up an appointment for one of our expert knitters to guide you at a time that works for you!

Jimmy's Little Helper!
Okay, we have to admit, it's been a little chilly here lately - so much so that everyone has been wearing hats, pulling the brims over their ears to turn away that pesky Jack Frost nipping at us! Seriously, how rude is that guy!? It's important to keep bundled up in the next few months, even as we frolic outside in the glittering snow and try desperately to catch just ONE snowflake on our tongues!
That's why our Bean, Winni, came up with the ultra-cute, ultra-COZY Jimmy's Little Helper Hat last year. Using one skein of Madelinetosh Tosh Vintage yarn in either Blood Runs Cold or Natural, and a cute, fuzzy pom pom, you could whip up your own hat to stay cozy and sassy this holiday season! This design is also easy to adapt to different head sizes.
Madelinetosh Tosh Vintage is a worsted weight yarn made out of 100% Superwash Merino wool. Each skein holds 200 yards worth of sumptuous string to play with, making it the perfect length for this hat as well as other warm projects you want to make for the season! Oh did we mention that this pattern is FREE from the Jimmy Beans Wool website? All you gotta do is get the kit for the yarn and pom pom, download the pattern from our Free Pattern Page here.

Starry Eyed Over della Q!
Oh, snap! Have you needed a new project bag? In our experience, we are quite partial to mesh bags so we can see exactly what project is in them, cutting down our search time tremendously (especially when we have multiple WIPs at a time - no judgment)! della Q has taken up the mantle of ultra-satisfying snapping buttons to make storing and opening that much easier (also we just like mindlessly clicking them against each other - it's so soothing).
New from della Q are two colorways to get your projects in the holiday spirit with seasonal shades inspired by winter!
|
Pink Champagne: Pale pinks reminding us of late nights with a bottle of bubbly! The pale tones of yellow and pink lend themselves beautifully to your project. The smallest bag in both the S/M/L and XL/XXL sizes is reminiscent of when the light catches the bubbles.
Think of this set as the perfect way to end the night after you've spent a long day conversing with family and finally get a moment of peace to yourself - we can get behind that!
|
|
|
Winter Sky: Like the morning sky bathing the landscape in pale shades of blue and twisting shadows. The smallest bag in both the S/M/L and the XL/XXL sets reminds us of early mornings watching the light glimmer on the snow!
Bringing some much-needed serenity to your projects, this set reminds us to take things slow and keep breathing. Just as the snow falls at its own pace, so, too, must we take our time with our craft!
|
And the best part? The smallest bags remind us of those things for a reason - they sparkle. Yeah, you read that right. These bags have clusters of glitter on them that catch the light and dazzle us with stupendous sparkle!
Available in the classic S/M/L and XL/XXL sizes, you can guarantee that your needles, hook, yarn, and notions will stay safe, curled up in an elegant, wintery bag! The new, quilted pattern on each bag gets us feelin' ultra-cozy reminiscing about those nights in front of the fireplace with a blanket in our lap while we craft the night away!

Adrienne's Accessories
Picture this: You're crafting something up, and you let your mind wander. "Do I heat up leftovers for lunch now or should I wait?", "Is there still coffee in the pot?", "I wonder what the cat is up to right now," you ask yourself. You're lost in thought, still twisting your hands around making loops and shapes with your yarn before you finally snap out of it - oh no! When were you supposed to measure the length of this project?! You scramble to grab your project bag and search for a tape measure. You frantically move and discard things, and your search grows more desperate. Ugh! Why couldn't this tape measure be bright and easy to see?
Good thing we have a gorgeous, eye-catching little tape measure to remedy this problem!
|
The new cocoknits Tape Measure is the perfect little accessory to add to your already vibrant collection of cocoknits notions! Nestled in a reusable linen drawstring bag, this tiny treasure packs a punch! Each Tape Measure is crafted out of a smooth, durable material that rests perfectly in the space between your thumb and index finger, making measuring that much easier! And the best part? It's made out of PLA, a 100% biodegradable plant fiber, making it 100% plastic-free which is good for your project bag and great for the planet!
|
|
The speckled exterior brings a bit of fun to this accessory, while also making it easier to find in your project bag! The metal tape inside measures in both inches and cm/mm (78" / 2 m long), and has a metal tab at the end to ensure it doesn't retract inside the shell of the tape measure.

Did you hear the good news?! We've extended our Black Friday sales! With the highlight of our weekend being the ever-popular Madelinetosh Grab Bags, we whisked them away to ship to your doorstep with glee!
|
|
To prepare for the Grab Bag festivities, we had a (socially distant) packing party where all of our color experts gathered to play in the fibers and mix and match shades to make gorgeous fades or complementary palettes! There was laughing, joking, and of course, more eggnog than you could imagine! We also laid down amongst the glorious mountains of yarn and took in the sights as a skein-bow obscured everything around us. We may have made a few yarn angels too - doing that in the Queen Bean's stash is one of our favorite pastimes, after all!
|
Each Madelinetosh Grab Bag contains romantic and eclectic shades that will look positively stunning in your next project. If you don't want to use them together, there's always the option of stocking your stash with them and waiting for that one rainy day to come. When it does, you can reach in and pull out the fabulous fibers of Madelinetosh to make your needles and hooks squeal with delight!
Offered in a multitude of bases, you can choose from something heavy worsted like Madelinetosh Chunky all the way to the sparkly fingering weight of Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light + Glitter! And the best part? Each bag is priced at $44.00 - say it ain't so!

Project On Our Needles!
Cassidy's Faux Ram Trophy Head
We cannot get over just how cute this little fella is! Our Bean, Cassidy saw him and knew she had to make him as a gift for a dear friend of hers. She handed him around the office, and quite a few of us cuddled with his sweet little face, squishing his nose and admiring his spiraling horns but there was one thing that we just had to know...
What is his name?
Cassidy smiled and posed, "His name is Hamish!"
