Meet Our New Friend!

Our new fiber friend, Louis Boria, a.k.a. Brooklyn Boy Knits, has been taking the knitting world by storm! Last month, we came across his viral Facebook video, and thought that his story was so inspiring, that we wanted to share it with our customers, too! After sharing the video on our page, Louis commented back to us, and, as they say, the rest is history! We're now BKFFs... that stands for Best Knitting Friends Forever. (Yep, we totally just made that up!)

Louis is not only a knitter, but a designer as well. He designed The Bushwick Convertible, a 2-in-1 pattern! Once knit up, this can either be worn as a hat (cinched at the top), or as a cowl (loosened at the top). We love the simplicity and practicality of this design, but also find that the details create a fun effect! Using only 1 skein of Malabrigo Rasta, this one's a cinch (pun intended!), and perfect as a last minute holiday gift!

These low yardage, worsted weight projects are great stash busters! Perfect for dressing up a bottle of wine before a holiday party or a naked bottle of wine on your kitchen counter! Please Note: We highly recommend opening your favorite bottle of zin or merlot, and pouring yourself a hearty glass, before knitting your own wine bottle cozy or cork topper! Why, you might ask?
