The other day we officially had our first snow fall at Jimmy Beans HQ, and our Beans were so excited they ran outside to dance and play around in the flakes falling from the sky! To celebrate the upcoming cozy winter ahead of us, we're rounding up our warmest wools and stuffing our project bags to the brim!

Throughout the festivities of our birthday this year, we've been taking a look back on our favorite patterns, projects, and yarns from over the years.

As we prepare for all of our cold weather making, we're excited to give a warm welcome (back) to The Fibre Company! We originally started carrying their staple yarns back in 2011 and we are excited to return them to our stash in 2022! Soft and durable, Amble is made from a blend of eco-friendly washable wool and alpaca for comfort as well as recycled nylon for strength! Designed for sock knitting, this yarn is also perfect for easy-to-care-for sweaters and accessories. We also have Amble available in mini skeins perfect for adding small amounts of color to your larger projects!

A sumptuous blend of brown masham wool, fine South American merino wool, and mohair, Cumbria is available in both worsted and fingering weights! This unique combination of fibers creates a light brown-gray shade, which is then over-dyed to create rich and deeply saturated colors.

Made in England's historical textile region of West Yorkshire, Lore is a DK-weight yarn made from 100% lambswool from Romney sheep. This woolen-spun yarn blooms beautifully after washing, making it a top choice for colorwork (plus it is also available in 68-yard mini balls!)

A combination of 65% baby alpaca, 10% cashmere, 10% camel, and 15% silk, Road to China Light is a luxurious yarn to knit and crochet with! This silky fiber combination and rich hand-crafted color makes this DK-weight yarn ready for any project in your queue!

Suit up with your hooks, lab coats, and safety goggles and get ready to experiment with color! Scheepjes long-awaited 2023 Colour Lab Crochet-A-Long is here and we couldn't be more excited to go back to science class for a lesson on shades and hues!

Featuring a design by Rachele Carmona of Cypress Textiles, this blanket pattern is bold, colorful, and geometric! Available in two yarn options, Metropolis and Scrumptious, you have the freedom to create a snuggly throw unique to you!

The result reminds us of crows swooping together in a flock and lining themselves up on a telephone line!

We suggest using the Pop Art-inspired MT x Barker Wool Assigned Pooling color, Seated Ballerina, to create your own pretty pullover! In the case of this pattern, the pooling color is assigned to tiny bobbles along a field of stockinette stitches of the background color! The dispersion of the design will vary by size, so the look of each sweater will be unique to you!

Afifa debuted this class at our Biggest Little Getaway and it was such a hit that we decided to open it up to ALL of our customers! In this free and thrifty virtual event she'll go through the basics of upcycling your t-shirts with fiber!
