We've been on cloud nine recently with a bunch of exciting things falling into place. From Craftvent to Fright Club to the newest line of della Q Maker's Cases, we're beyond excited to see what the rest of the year has to bring in terms of releases, bags, and yarn!

Cosy Up With Craftvent!

When we think of sweets, we think of pastel colors and especially shades of pink, which is one of the reasons we are so keen on the Ribbon Candy colorway for our larger Craftvent project!

Craftvent, much like ribbon candy, is a holiday staple around these parts! As sweet as candy and twice as fun to have around, there's no surprise we always look forward to what our knitting and crocheting hearts have in store for us in December!

The Ribbon Candy colorway of Craftvent reminds us of sugary sweets and desert sunsets. Despite not getting a whole bunch of snow around here, the sunsets in winter are incredible! Shades of pink and purple paint the sky while the world is bathed in an orange glow? We wouldn't trade that for the world!

The knit Festive Wrap was designed by Ambah O'Brien and uses wavy stripes to reflect the summer heat she enjoys while her northern hemisphere fiber friends are snuggling into the cozy cold season. We may be a little biased here, but we think fingering-weight yarn is always the way to go! There's something about how it shows off color, how it feels in your hands, and how satisfying it is to complete a project in it. The utility of fingering weight yarn is also a big plus, being able to be held double, carried along with another yarn, or simply used by itself - despite its size, it's quite the heavy hitter!

Okay - we've all been there. We're just happily enjoying our lives when suddenly we feel our heel make contact with the floor. Uh-oh... That's not good. Jimmy's Cozy Winter Shawl

We love whenever anyone from Team Beans creates a new project, but we have to admit, we get a little extra excited when Jimmy herself comes around with a new garment or accessory! Using the sumptuous strings of Madelinetosh Farm Twist, she surprised us with the gorgeous Cozy Winter Shawl! Featuring large, chunky cables and open lacework, Jimmy was enamored by the design! She immediately put this one on her needles and didn't stop until she was finished (sleep was the last thing on her mind with this big beauty)! This shawl is large enough to snuggle up in and keep the winter chills out - the cold won't bother her anymore with this shawl!
