Very versatile
These markers can be used in multiple ways: either on the needles, where they easily slip or fastened in place in or between stitches.

Great Concept poorly carried out
I really like this idea, but I had a number of issues with both the yarn and the pattern, and I am a very experienced knitter.
1. The yarn is not wool. And the yarn is very splitty, not a good choice for the so-called cables actually just crossed stitches or slip stitches. It is also entirely synthetic, which is not a good choice for a winter hat, when warmth is generally needed.
2. I usually love charts and prefer using them to written patterns. But this chart was nearly unreadable. The colors are so dark it is hard to see the writing in the squares, and the chart is also rather small. Also, it does not use one of the common knitting symbol sets.
3. There are no instructions on how to attach the pompom or the label. While I realize these are both simple actions, a complete pattern should include this information. In addition to being a knitter, I am also a designer.
4. Finally, the pompom does not match any of the colors in the kit. Instead, it is black.
Overall, although I successfully finished knitting my hat, I am disappointed.
