Not only is Bethany expecting a little one of her own, but she has several friends who are also pregnant! What better time then to whip up a bunch of these cute little baby sweaters out of a nice, machine washable wool?
Bethany chose to knit the
New In Town pattern from Spud and Chloe in
Cascade 128 Superwash (in Green Apple, Pumpkin, and Camel), which is slightly lighter than the yarn used in the orignal pattern (Spud and Cloe Outer), but she adjusted the gauge a bit to make it work. She is a super loose knitter, so she knit these on a US size 9 needle, but she would recommend a US size 10 for most people with average gauge. She knit the largest size, and ended up with a sweater that is approximately a 12-18 month size.
We think these little sweaters turned out adorable and can't wait to meet the little one who is going to wear it!
