These Onesies are first quality yarn but contain small inconsistencies that distinguish them from the rest. Many of the skeins came out too light or too dark in the dyeing process, so color variation in general is a factor. There are also skeins with dots where drops of another color got on them, or white patches where the dye couldn't get to the yarn due to the string being tied too tight.
This incredible fingering weight yarn is dyed with natural dyes in a labor intensive process that brings much joy to the dyer, the knitter and the environment. It results in beautiful yarns with lots of variegation that vary from lot to lot. The generous 525 yards per skein is enough to create an exquisite shawl.
**PLEASE NOTE** Some of the colors are dyed with all natural indigo. The dyeing process for indigo is quite different from other plant based dyes as the indigo molecules sit on top of the fiber rather than penetrating into it. Because of this, it is the inherent nature of natural indigo dyed yarns to have some "rub off." Everything has been done to minimize this, but you may experience some color rubbing onto your hands or needles.
