What's Madelinetosh Blanket?
The new custom Madelinetosh Blanket base is a 5-ply, worsted weight, 100% Superwash Merino wool base. This base is 25% More Squish™ (not a real trademark). Each colorway contains hand-dyed colors not available in Tosh's core 150.

Pattern is Great - Berroco Romantic is the Worst (2 out of 5)
I love the colors in Berroco Comfort for the Playful version of this project, but the colors sent for the Romantic version just keep getting worse and worse. I should have switched to the Madlinetosh version as soon as I had doubts, but I am now six months in getting caught up now that I am on summer break from teaching and HATE the color combination.
5 stars for the pattern - very clear, well-written, includes great videos, pieces are gorgeous
4 stars for Berroco Comfort splits easily, but it's super soft
5 stars for the Playful colorway in BC
0 stars for the Romantic colorway in BC
Going to switch to Madlinetosh for the Romantic Colorway and see if it is any better. Wish me luck!
I am very pleased with the Madelinetosh Blanket club. The colors are beautiful and very soft. Easy to work with and the video’s and patterns are easy to follow. The care that went into planning and designing this/these blankets is incredible. A lot of though and care went into this club and the little extras are appreciated. Can’t wait for next years pattern, colors and design. Very satisfied with my Tosh Crochet Blanket Club.
I'm writing again because I want to stop anyone who is thinking about hopping on this kit. It would be very easy to catch up, but if you choose the Acrylic in the Romantic, you will HATE it. I have been disappointed with every color sent, but was going to preserver. April's color!!!??? Completely changes everything from the chance and hope of tones of brown and rose to just plain ugly. Unbelievable. Someone is have a good laugh at our expense. Forget my idea that I might make a top out of the squares, cause no way this yarn would hold up as a blanket, once I got them all done. Its game over as far as I'm concerned. I can't add a picture of what I'm talking about which is a shame. I am canceling. 18 bucks spent on ugly is just stupid.
I have reported this on Facebook/support/Messenger to no avail. You pay for something, you should get it without question and I have pictures to back up they sent the wrong items.

I switched to the tosh yarn and I'm not having an issue so far. Berroco never listening the color on their yarn wrappers which is fine for me since I don't have that problem. I always make sure to look at the description given within the club to see if it works for me or not. Being patient is key here.

I signed up for the crochet blanket because I want to learn to crochet. I am a knitter, and all I have ever crocheted is single or double crochet edge around a blanket. Until now I have never even made a chain stitch! I watched a couple of YouTube videos, and when my kit came, I dived right in. There is so much support on both Facebook and Ravelry that my squares and circle came out perfectly. I chose the Madeline Tosh wool, and it is as squishy as promised!
