I am satisfied that the quality of the product is better than I expected. (5 out of 5)
It is a very luxurious and light product. It combines the unique coolness of linen with a calm harmony of colors, so when you make clothes, you get much better results than any other product.
This yarn is beautiful and a pleasure to knit with. It is a bit finer than what I was looking for but still makes a pretty sweater fabric on #4 US needles. I am having to knit a size larger with this fine yarn.
I’m just 10 rows in adding Shibui Reed and Shibui Silk Cloud held together to make the Carolina Beach Poncho/Shawl which in my version is comprised of sections of Rowan Summerlite cotton, CEY Bella Lino linen/cotton and the Shibui yarns. I chose Reed as my third yarn because it was the color I wanted. I initially only bought Reed but was afraid it would be too thin on its own and decided to add Cloud to hold with it instead of another strand of Reed because I wanted to try that yarn out too and what the heck, this is an experimental poncho/wrap, started mostly to use up some of my Summerlite and CEY yarns. I’m loving the addition so far. You can check out the project in progress if you look up Carolina Beach as a pattern free pattern on Ravelry and look for the project containing these yarns. I think that I would really like a summer top made of Reed and Cloud held together. It creates a beautiful light fabric. The color Fjord is sublime.
