Beans for Brains is a merit-based scholarship program for artistic students pursuing or already in the process of attending post-secondary education. This program focuses on several things, including yarn knowledge (oh yeah, this is for the knitters, crocheters, and weavers out there!), GPA, extracurricular activities, financial need, and more while uplifting their creativity through the fiber arts! In the past, the Beans for Brains Scholarship was given to four or five students each year to help them move forward and accomplish their dreams! From local universities like our own University of Nevada, Reno, to Colleges like Harvard and Yale, Beans for Brains is a program for any and all fiber arts lovers out there! There will be not four, not five, but SIX scholarships given $2,500.00 based on four regions as well as a local, Reno award and an international award.
While we can't spill ALL of the beans just yet, we're just buzzing around here thinking about it!! Stay tuned for our official announcement with more details soon!
