In honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, we're kicking off a month-long donation effort to benefit our local team ー The Nevada Storm Women's Football tackle team!
Now you might be asking yourself, 'why is a yarn shop supporting a football team?!'
Well, because Jimmy is on the team, of course!!
Laura Zander (a.k.a. Jimmy!) is taking the field by storm this year as she starts her rookie season! We'll be rooting her on in the stands this season!
The Nevada Storm Women's Football team started in 2010 and is a non-profit pay-to-play organization, meaning the team members raise funds throughout the year to cover costs for each upcoming season.

Q: What happens if I want to purchase more than 1 ticket at a time?
A: However many raffle tickets purchased in an order will count as the same number of entries. For example, if you purchase three (3) tickets, you will be entered three (3) times
Q: Will I receive a physical raffle ticket?
A: These are not physical tickets and your receipt counts as your entry (or entries).
"NV Storm" RAFFLE RULES AND REGULATIONS
Overview:
You could win Mini Quinn's Quilt & Pillow Kit in a della Q Tote, in your choice of colors in Reno Rafter 7 donated by Jimmy Beans Wool. Enter the raffle by purchasing a ticket for $5 USD at jimmybeanswool.com, by phone at 775.827.9276, or at the store located at 891 Trademark Drive Reno, NV. 89521. The Raffle will begin on February 1st, 2023, and end on February 28, 2023. The drawing will take place on or around March 1, 2023.
All net proceeds from the "NV Storm" Raffle benefit The Nevada Storm, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide women with the opportunity to play and compete at the top tier of tackle football preparing for international and national competition while fostering an environment of goodwill and sportsmanship. Eligibility:
The "NV Storm" Raffle is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Ticket purchaser must be an individual 18 years or older at the time of entry. Only one (1) individual may be identified as the purchaser (or buyer) of the ticket. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. The Nevada Storm, Jimmy Beans Wool, and respective employees, board members, along with members of their families, are not eligible to participate.
By entering the Raffle, the ticket purchaser acknowledges that he or she is aware of, and agrees to abide by, the official Rules and Regulations.
How to Enter & Odds of Winning:
The cost to purchase a single entry ("ticket") for the Raffle is $5 USD. All entries are final and non-refundable, and an entry cannot be canceled once processed. Entrants may purchase as many tickets as they wish, subject to availability. The odds of winning are determined by the total number of entries received.
The Raffle will begin at 6:00 am PST on February 1, 2023 and end at 11:59 pm PST on February 28, 2023. Entries received outside of this time frame will not be considered. It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure that accurate first name, last name, a valid deliverable mailing address, current email address, and contact phone number are provided.
Prize & Winner Notification:
The drawing will occur at approximately 10:00 am PST on March 1, 2023. The winner does not need to be present to win. Winner is entitled to receive a blanket kit in their color choices. Winner must comply with all terms stated in the "NV Storm" Raffle Rules and Regulations. THE PRIZES ARE NON-EXCHANGEABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE.
Jimmy Beans will attempt to notify the winner by email or phone of the prize won and any requisite procedure to claim the prize. Preliminary winner will have 30 calendar days from the applicable drawing date to inform Jimmy Beans of their acceptance, provide proof of eligibility, claim, and take possession of the prize. If the winner is unable to be contacted, or the prize remains unclaimed or unaccepted after such 30-day period, the preliminary winner will be deemed to have forfeited the prize and an alternate winner will be selected. If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Rules and Regulations, the winner's prize will be forfeited and Jimmy Beans shall be entitled to select another winner.
Publicity Rights:
By entering the "NV Storm" Raffle, entrants accept and agree to be bound by all the rules, limitations and restrictions set forth here. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to allow Jimmy Beans, the right to use winner's name, and statements for the promotion, trade, commercial, advertising, and publicity purposes, worldwide, at any time or times, in all media now or hereafter developed, including but not limited to radio, television, the internet, without notice, review, or approval and without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
