In the latest news from Jimmy Beans HQ, we're proud to announce that Laura Zander (aka Jimmy!) is officially a board member for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada!
The Big Brothers Big Sisters' mission to help children realize their potential and build their futures is one that's near and dear to many of us here on the Team Beans.
As the nation's largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (Bigs) and children (Littles), ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country. They help develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
Did you know every $1200 raised supports a match between a Big and a Little for an entire year?!
This got us inspired to do another raffle and see if we can raise enough money to support at least one match for 2024! And we'd love your help to achieve that (and maybe more!).
For the entire month of April, we'll be offering $5 digital raffle tickets for purchase with 100% of the proceeds going to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada.

Q: What happens if I want to purchase more than 1 ticket at a time?
A: However many raffle tickets purchased in an order will count as the same number of entries. For example, if you purchase three (3) tickets, you will be entered three (3) times!
Q: Will I receive a physical raffle ticket?

Overview:
You could win a custom Yarn Bouquet and a brand new della Q Maker's Mesh Tote filled with Reno Rafter 7 donated by Jimmy Beans Wool. Enter the raffle by purchasing a ticket for $5 USD at jimmybeanswool.com, by phone at 775.827.9276, or at the store located at 891 Trademark Drive Reno, NV. 89521. The Raffle will begin on April 1st, 2023, and end on April 30, 2023. The drawing will take place on or around May 1st, 2023.
All net proceeds from the “Big Brothers Big Sisters” Raffle benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. EIN#32-0147198
Eligibility:
The "Big Brothers Big Sisters" Raffle is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Ticket purchaser must be an individual 18 years or older at the time of entry. Only one (1) individual may be identified as the purchaser (or buyer) of the ticket. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada, Jimmy Beans Wool, and respective employees, board members, along with members of their families, are not eligible to participate.
By entering the Raffle, the ticket purchaser acknowledges that he or she is aware of, and agrees to abide by, the official Rules and Regulations.
How to Enter & Odds of Winning:
The cost to purchase a single entry ("ticket") for the Raffle is $5 USD. All entries are final and non-refundable, and an entry cannot be canceled once processed. Entrants may purchase as many tickets as they wish, subject to availability. The odds of winning are determined by the total number of entries received.
The Raffle will begin at 6:00 am PST on April 1, 2023, and end at 11:59 pm PST on April 30, 2023. Entries received outside of this time frame will not be considered. It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure that an accurate first name, last name, a valid deliverable mailing address, current email address, and contact phone number are provided.
Prize & Winner Notification:
The drawing will occur at approximately 10:00 am PST on or around May 1, 2023. The winner does not need to be present to win. Winner is entitled to receive a yarn bouquet & bag. Winner must comply with all terms stated in the "Big Brothers Big Sisters" Raffle Rules and Regulations. THE PRIZES ARE NON-EXCHANGEABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE.
Jimmy Beans will attempt to notify the winner by email or phone of the prize won and any requisite procedure to claim the prize. Preliminary winner will have 30 calendar days from the applicable drawing date to inform Jimmy Beans of their acceptance, provide proof of eligibility, claim, and take possession of the prize. If the winner is unable to be contacted, or the prize remains unclaimed or unaccepted after such 30-day period, the preliminary winner will be deemed to have forfeited the prize and an alternate winner will be selected. If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Rules and Regulations, the winner's prize will be forfeited and Jimmy Beans shall be entitled to select another winner.

By entering the "Big Brothers Big Sisters" Raffle, entrants accept and agree to be bound by all the rules, limitations, and restrictions set forth here. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to allow Jimmy Beans, the right to use the winner's name, and statements for the promotion, trade, commercial, advertising, and publicity purposes, worldwide, at any time or times, in all media now or hereafter developed, including but not limited to radio, television, the internet, without notice, review, or approval and without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
