Beanie Bag Free Patterns
This month's patterns are as charming as they come - and travel-friendly, too! Our own Heather Boyd designed the little knitted mitts, perfect for gently scrubbing and exfoliating the face; you'll be able to knit at least 2 mitts from the yarns in the bag.
Ann of Freeform Fibers contributed the crocheted washcloth mitt, with soft and squishy puff stitches for ultimate latherability: just add soap for a total spa experience!

Yarns and Project Ideas
Blue Sky Fibers Worsted Cotton is a supremely soft and lofty, loosely-twisted, certified organic cotton that will have you wondering, "hmm... can I use Worsted Cotton for this?" about every worsted-weight pattern you see!
We love it for garments and toys, but it wouldn't be out of place in a summer wrap for cool nights - and with 36 colors to choose from, you can make one to match every outfit!
Just take a look at a few of these beauties:
Rowan Handknit Cotton is a classic for a reason: it's a downy-soft, non-mercerized, 100% cotton in a DK weight that's just perfect for everything from washcloths to baby clothes. It has a medium-tight twist and smooth hand that make it great for colorwork, and the beautiful Rowan color palette (25 gorgeous shades!) means classic style.
We can't wait to get our Handknit Cotton in one of these gems:
Berroco Remix is a unique, rustic-feeling, recycled cotton-blend yarn with tweedy flecks of color that set it apart from any cotton yarn you've seen! The mix of recycled fibers, including cotton, linen, silk, nylon, and acrylic, give it not only character, but also the hybrid ability to cross seasons for ultimate versatility in garments, wraps, and accessories!
Eco-conscious just got gorgeous with the heathered hues of this heavy-worsted honey; use it for everything from blankets to cardigans - and did we mention, it's machine-washable?
Mix it up with one of these great projects:
Sublime Egyptian Cotton is all about quality: extra-long-staple Egyptian cotton is the best (and most durable) you can find! The lovely sheen of this DK-weight, mercerized cotton lends itself beautifully to lightweight summer garments and accessories, while the easy-care quality means you can toss them in the washer and wear them again and again!
See this stunner shine in these masterpieces:
We just plain love Soak Wash. Soak is a rinse-free wool wash, meaning you can wet block or hand wash your hand knit and crochet items by simply soaking them in a water and Soak solution, then lay them out to dry! There's no extra rinsing required and no soapy residue once your handmades are dry!
Not only does Soak make blocking and hand washing easy, we love the light scents it comes in (in addition to scentless), the way it relaxes fibers to really let lace and stitch work shine, and helps to clean out debris in more rustic yarns.
