Welcome to our second installment of Knitspiration, a photo-packed mini-newsletter designed to get you fired up about creating and ready to tackle that next project!
Our inaugural Knitspiration newsletter featured Goldfish Memory, a wrap so bursting with brilliant color we immediately put on our sunglasses and started dreaming of spring! We were so inspired by the effortless way in which the wrap combined different dye techniques - specifically, speckles with solids - that we couldn't help but incorporate that into the theme of this month's newsletter!
We've all fawned over speckle-dyed yarn, the latest rage in hand-dye techniques, but what pattern to use? What's the best way to show off that confetti-like color while still maintaining a look that's both timeless and wearable? When used alone a simple pattern is best, perhaps one with garter stitch stripes to keep it interesting; the real fun, however, happens when you combine speckles with solids to create something truly speck-tacular!
Take a look at some of the projects that are inspiring us this month!

May we suggest: Lorna's Laces Solemate
Colors we like: From top right moving clockwise - Prague and Natural, Cozumel and Natural, Blackberry and Berry Blizzard, Denim and Berry Blizzard, Douglas Fir and Lorel-Eyes

May we suggest: Mrs. Crosby Satchel

We love the idea of Crocheting the body of the sweater in a speckled color and the flower motif on the sleeves in a solid - or vice versa! It's up to you!
We hope you found plenty of knitspiration from this month's newsletter! Be on the lookout for new speckled colorways from both Lorna's Laces and Madelinetosh arriving this spring!
