It's time to balance the scales in favor of the Air signs: our September Toshstrology color is here! Libra is an awe-inspiring mix of orchid, plum, and Tyrian purple that even the ancient Romans would approve of - and that's fitting, as Rome was founded under the Libra sign! It's a breath of warm air as chilly weather approaches, and we've got it in all of your favorite Tosh bases! | You beauty-loving and artistic Libras may not need any inspiration to get right to work with this gorgeous color, but for the rest of us, here are a few pattern suggestions! Kristen has designed the Libra Mitts using 1 skein of Tosh Vintage, and they are beyond pretty! Monika whipped up the Hydrocarbon Cowl in just the blink of an eye with Home, and Lina created another cute animal in A.S.A.P. - a Unicorn! Squee! |
And that's not all: Chicken Boots is back with two awesome pouches to coordinate with this month's color!
The Libra Small Wristlet celebrates the beauty of balance and will pack a small project with ease, and the Libra Stitch Marker Pouch is a heavenly little carry-all for your notions, jewelry, or spare change! | |
Now, for your yarnoscope:
Libra, with your social and cooperative nature, you're perfectly suited for a joint or group project. Why not start a special blanket with a friend that you each work on or complete parts of? When you sew your squares or sections together at the end, you can vow to share custody of it - or, give it as a heartfelt, handmade gift!
Your most compatible colors are Aquarius, Taurus, Gemini, and Leo. |

Are you on board for our " Make the Stars" event on Ravelry? It starts September 22! The rules are simple: between September 22 and October 22, finish a star-themed project! You can use one of the gorgeous Toshstrology 2016 colorways, choose an astrology-themed pattern, or just make a really good case for how your project relates to the "star" theme! Then link to your project on the JBW Group discussion thread and stick around to check out the other projects there! For inspiration (and to help inspire others), check out our Toshstrology Ravelry Bundle for pattern ideas, and add ideas of your own! And don't forget: we'll be awarding some awesome prizes! |

The September Little Beanie Bag has landed! This month's bag got you well acquainted with some of our "knit-alikes": yarns that share similar characteristics like weight, composition, and hand-feel to make them work seamlessly together! Along with 20-yard samples of two fingering-weight beauties ( Madelinetosh Twist Light and Spud & Chloe Fine) and two lace-weight lovelies ( Fyberspates Scrumptious Lace and Cascade Forest Hills), the September bag included knit and crochet patterns for sweet, stay-put bookmarks, plus buttons and stretchy elastic ties used to complete the bookmarks, and a packet of Soak wash - all wrapped up in a custom zippered pouch! |
