 Season 6 of our favorite fantasy series (can you guess which one we mean?) is returning on April 24th, and we couldn't be more thrilled! Mostly because it's an excuse for yet another Ice and Fire inspired colorway and our 4th annual accompanying Mystery Knit Along! Last season left us with so many questions, especially when it came to choosing yet another iconic character to base this year's color after! Without further ado, we give you this year's Lorna's Laces Limited Edition color - Queen of Thorns! Inspired by the matriarch of a family known for their beautiful rose gardens (she also happens to be the grandmother of the current Queen), her nickname Queen of Thorns refers to both her sharp tongue and the many thorny roses for which her home is known. And this gorgeous colorway is as verdant and intense as her smart and sassy personality: a blend of both vibrant and deep greens with touches of gray and charcoal to represent her darker side! It's available in your favorite Lorna's bases, plus String Quintets!  | But here's the really exciting part: we're hosting the 4th Annual MKAL again this year! Starting when the new season of the show airs on April 24th, this fun mystery event will run for 5 weeks, with a new clue posted each week. Kristen has designed a special mystery shawlette using the new Lorna's String Quintets: 105-yard mini-skeins in the individual colors that make up the LE color, and whether or not you serve a Many-faced Deity, you're sure to love this many-colored MKAL! |
We have Yarn Kits available (each with a pack of String Quintets plus one additional Staccato mini-skein in a coordinating colorway), and the pattern is available directly from Marinade Designs on Ravelry. Designed by Rachel and Monika, each mystery project uses 2 skeins of Shepherd Sock: one in Jamie's Kilt and one in a contrasting color (our official pick is Fjord, but we have some other beauties picked out), and will unfold over the course of five weeks - one clue per week, starting April 9th.

Sometimes you just need to stand out from the crowd...and what better way to do it than with one of our new Lantern Moon Blue Sheep Tape Measures or Stitch Markers? These adorable sheep in a cheerful blue shade were the brainchild of a meeting between Jimmy (a.k.a. Laura) and Sharon of Lantern Moon, who kept imagining a whole flock of sheep with colorful fleeces - now, how fun would that be? As useful as they are charming, these nifty notions are sure to start a conversation when you whip them out of your knitting bag, and the bright blue color means they'll be easy to spot when you need them!
