This month, we asked our Micro-brew dyers to use their favorite guilty pleasure movie as inspiration for their June colorways. You know the ones... those movies you watch over, and over, and over again because they never get old; though you may feel a little guilty about how silly those films might be!
The responses we got were all but surprising - many of us feel the same way about these movies, and we hope you enjoy them (the colors, and the movies!) as much as we do!

| When we first started approaching hand dyers to be part of our Micro-brewed Collection, our very own Chris - a former resident of Portland, Oregon - introduced us to his favorite Oregonian hand dyer, the Salem-based Three Fates Yarns! Owner and head-dyer Stephania's guilty pleasure movie is Purple Rain (who doesn't love Prince, right?!?!), which lent itself beautifully to this tonal purple colorway. We love how it looks on Terra Sock, a super soft superwash merino and nylon sock yarn that boasts 463 yards per 100g hank. |

When Carol from Black Bunny Fibers told us her guilty pleasure movie was Mean Girls, we were literally on the floor laughing. Admittedly, we are fans as well, and we loved the idea of making "Fetch" happen. We think the tonal blues of this color are so "Fetch" that Regina George will be green with envy (and not in the fake way she liked Cady's bracelet) over whatever stunning garment you create with it.
Just one skein of this 80% Merino/20% nylon fingering weight could make the Little Colonnade by Stephen West, or the Clochan Socks by Andrea Rangel! And if "Fetch" just isn't happening for you, check out " It Had To Be You", a gorgeous shade of deeper blues that Carol dyed for Loops inspired by her other guilty pleasure film, When Harry Met Sally. Or, use them both together for a gorgeously tonal blue shawl like Pendulum by Amy Miller!

| No Guilty Pleasure Movie-themed anything would be complete without a good fairy tale! Brooke at Sincere Sheep's movie is Ever After, a Cinderella story with a bit of a "girl power" twist. We can dig that, and absolutely love the gradient color combos that Brooke dyed especially for us in her Cormo Fingering base. Total yardage for these sets is 500 yards, which is plenty to make a color gradient shawl or wrap. |
Kristen is excited to cast on for the Brush Creek Cowlette by Carina Spencer in the gradient blue palette ( Ever After 1), or if shawls are more your thing, try the Madeline Shawl by Kate Jackson Knits which is designed for using mini-skeins in any weight, length, or color combo! |

Saremy at Chicken Boots found out that we had a Purple Rain themed color for June, so she created some awesome Stitch Marker Pouches to coordinate with it! In addition to that, in honor of her trip to Australia this month (yep, she's down under, lucky lady!) she created a travel-themed pouch with a map of The "L" to commemorate summertime and all of the wanderlust it inspires.
