You've been hearing the buzz for weeks now and can't help but wonder what is in store for our 2nd Annual Holiday Collection? Well, last year's collection, Fit For A Feast, was just so much fun we had to do another! So, without further ado, we give you... Travel Traditions! This year we asked each of our collection participants to pick a place they've traveled to and loved, or someplace they always go during the holidays and to create a special hand-dyed color inspired by that place. The result is some seriously stunning yarn colors, and some fantastic accessories to go with them! There are several different easy-to-order "travel" options available in the collection including: Long Weekend, Romantic Getaway, A Walk on the Beach, Exclusive Excursion, and of course, the All Inclusive Resort. Each option comes with a special and unique project bag made either by Chicken Boots (the two largest kits) or from the Stitch Factory in fabrics that we selected exclusively for the collection. The two largest options also include an exclusive NYC inspired Knitter's Tool Tin-with all of the notions you'll need for your holiday travels. Last but not least, the All Inclusive Resort contains a sweet JBW Logo stainless steel Klean Kanteen water bottle to take on your travels! Knitters and crocheters must stay hydrated, too! And, just like last year, everything in the collection is available in limited quantities á la carte so you can mix and match to your heart's desire - but be sure to snag your favorites before they're gone!

Dream In Color Classy With Cashmere - Cruisin' to Cozumel
$30.00 | Cruisin' to Cozumel is inspired by the rich, warm colors of the Mexican coastal town of Cozumel. Dyed exclusively for us in Dream in Color Classy with Cashmere, this worsted weight yarn has 200 yards of deliciousness to work with. A blend of 70% squishy superwash merino wool (it doesn't say "squishy" on the label but we are pretty sure it should), 20% cashmere, and 10% nylon for strength, this yarn is as scrumptious as it gets.

Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted - Christmas in Paris
$20.50 | Beth from Lorna's Laces tells us that her favorite holiday travel experience to date is the year she and her hubby spent in Paris. Inspired by the colors of Paris in winter, Beth created this lovely and soft colorway for the collection. Available in Shepherd Worsted, Christmas in Paris is perfect for knitting a beret and matching cuffs or a cozy cowl for chilly days. Either way, this color has us saying, "oui, oui!"

Madelinetosh Tosh Sock - Winter Solstice
$26.80 | The Winter Solstice is an important celebration for many, as we celebrate both the changing of the season and the shortest day of the year. Amy at Madelinetosh wanted to create a stunning tonal color of cool blues to represent the winter skies at that time of year. Usually just before Christmas, the Winter Solstice is a fun way to celebrate the end of fall and look ahead to longer days and warmer seasons to come. Celebrate this year by knitting a pair of warm wooly socks out of Tosh Sock in this limited edition color!

Jade Sapphire Silk/Cashmere 2-ply - City of Glass
$37.00 | Jane Saffir of Jade Sapphire yarns told us about her recent family trip to Vancouver, BC where she was blown away by the surrounding colors of lush greens and blues. Water, mountains, sky, and tons of beautiful glass buildings are what inspired this color. Aptly named City of Glass, this color is available in Cashmere Silk 2-ply, which boasts 400 yards per skeins and is perfect for a small shawl or light scarf. Add some beads for a little extra sparkle and you've got a garment that will truly shine!

SweetGeorgia Merino Silk Fine - Hanalei Sunset
$39.00 | Felicia of SweetGeorgia yarns took her inspiration for this color directly from the amazing sunsets she saw while honeymooning on the island of Kaua'i. Hanalei Sunset pulls the rich orange, purple, and pink right out of the sky and translates it perfectly into fiber form. Available in SweetGerogia's Merino Silk Fine, a blend of 50% merino wool and 50% silk, this color is a truly a tropical dream come to life. Don't be surprised if the scent of Plumeria and a warm Hawaiian breeze wafts out of this yarn as you knit with it! Aloha!

$48.00 | Iris from Artyarns took a Mediterranean cruise last year, and the colors she saw left a lasting imprint on her memory. As they toured the coastal towns of southern France, Greece, and Italy, she saw tons of amazing art and handiwork that inspired her color for this year's holiday collection! Iris always amazes us, but this year's color is definitely Kristen's favorite so far. Bright pinks, purples, and blues, mixed with olive greens, and more subtle undertones in Artyarns' scrumptious Beaded Mohair and Sequins yarn make this color good reason to set sail! $53.00 | Tahki Stacy Charles and Artyarns have joined forces to create this stunning color in TSCArtyarns Tranquility Glitter, to complement Iris' Artyarns color in the holiday collection AND make it easy for you to blend these two yarns nicely in your projects! We caught up with Stacy Charles to ask him what his holiday travel traditions were, and he said he doesn't stray far from Manhattan for the holidays. His favorite tradition is renting a house in the Hamptons for Christmas with his friends and family, and spending the days walking the beaches all bundled up and sitting by the fire. Sounds good to us! And while we're sitting, we might as well have something gorgeous to knit with, too!

Koigu Painters Palette Premium Merino - Hohenzollern Bridge
$14.00 | Taiu, the owner of Koigu yarns, says that as a busy yarn company owner she doesn't get to travel much unless it's for work, but sometimes those work trips can feel like vacations! In fact, her color for the Holiday Collection is inspired by her recent trip to Köln, Germany for a trade show. Her favorite part about her visit to Köln was seeing the Hohenzollern Bridge that crosses the Rhein River, known for it's colorful "love locks", which are what inspired this color. One skein of this color in KPPPM would make a pair of ankle socks like the Turkish Bed Socks, and two skeins would make a full pair of socks. Either way, the result is truly fun and festive!

Malabrigo Worsted Merino - Llamadas
$11.60 | Malabrigo's stunning color for this collection takes its inspiration from the colorful Uruguayan festival Las Llamadas which occurs during or just before Carnival each year in early February. The town of Montevideo, where Malabrigo Yarns is based, is where the largest Llamadas festival in the world takes place - which means they don't actually have to travel to experience this unique cultural festival each year! Malabrigo's iconic Worsted Merino dyed in shades of bright pinkish reds, black and gold makes this color truly unique and a wonderful representation of this colorful celebration!
