Let this month's Limited Edition color lure you into the temptation of spring with its invigorating floral blend of rosewater pinks, deep lilacs, luscious lemons, and just a splash of magenta for good measure.
The White Witch's Lure was actually designed by a former employee, who sadly parted ways with us a few months ago to pursue her Master of Arts Degree and assistant teach. Amerique - our connoisseur of everything bright and cheery, including 80's music and unicorns - suitably gravitated towards this brilliant blend of colors simply because, well, in her own words, "they are just so happy"! This sentiment, of course, matches our own, especially this time of year when these same colors abound everywhere from Mother's Day bouquets to the tulips in my neighbor's yard.
Originally entitled "Turkish Delight", we couldn't help but resist appreciating the link between this particular sweet and one of our favorite fantasy series of all time (next to Harry Potter and Twilight, of course), The Chronicles of Narnia. I'm sure you'll remember the signature scene in the first book (and movie) where the Witch Witch tempts Edmund with none other than Turkish Delight! Thus, the "White Witch's Lure" was born and we're getting a toothache just looking at this delicious color-blend! Grab a hank or two of The White Witch's Lure for an irresistible spring beret, a pair of decadent picnic socks, or perhaps an entire bag for a wispy and feminine cardigan!
So, this one goes out to our good friend (and spectacular artist), Amerique, and to the wonderful temptation of spring!

Indigirl
There is a line of patterns that we've been dying to introduce you to, but they've been flying off the shelf so quickly, it's been hard to keep them in stock! We're talking of course about Indigirl, a pattern line designed by Amy Swenson. If you're looking for patterns to use for your White Witch's Lure, these just might get your taste buds rolling. What I particularly love about Indigirl patterns are the practical but easy life-saving design features. For example, the Every Last Yard cardigan is designed to use up, well, every last yard of your yarn! This wispy cardigan features lovely lace paneling and requires only 4-6 hanks of White Witch's Lure in Shepherd Worsted.
Cilantro is a lovely leaf shawl bursting with versatility. One hank of Shepherd Sock or Helen's Lace will make up the fingering weight version in no time! Or, how about thinking ahead for the fall and winter and using two hanks of the Baby Me Boo or Lion and Lamb for a cheery and warm wrap? Our most popular pattern is, by far, the Cloudchaser Vest. 4-6 hanks of the delectable Honor will make up this sumptuous soft design, but be sure to also check out Watershed as only 2-3 hanks of the Shepherd Worsted will make this cropped cardi up in no time! Using Pearl will make the cardigan the perfect light cover-up for cool summer nights!
