Happy New Year, Knitters!!

It was a wonderful holiday season this year. We got at least 10 feet of snow and
it's still absolutely beautiful here in the Lake Tahoe Area...
Unfortunately, i
did come down with bronchitis on January 2nd, but I'm finally getting better --
after watching about 30 movies and not moving from the couch for a number of days.
It was the first time i've been sick in about 5 years and it sure wasn't fun!
I did get a lot of knitting done, though, so at least something good came from it.

We inventoried both of our stores and our ecommerce warehouse 2 weeks ago, so i've been
busy entering all of that information into the computer. After that, we're getting to work
on adding tons of new features to the website. You'll be able to create your own account,
add items to a wish list, email wish lists to friends/relatives, and so much more. I can't
tell you how excited I am about the upcoming additions... we'll be sure to send an update
out every time we add something significant - keep your eyes peeled!

you. Because these are discontinued, there are no returns or exchanges, but

Debbie Bliss has discontinued her machine washable yarn - Merino Chunky.
It comes in a ton of colors... is machine washable and very soft.
This yarn is normally 6.50, but we’re able to put it on sale for $4.99 a ball.

Rowan has discontinued their Rowanspun Line - 100% Wool Tweeds.
We've purchased their DK, Aran, and Chunky weights.
You can use these yarns for any of the Rowan patterns that call
for their new line of tweeds - the Yorkshire Tweed Collection.

RENO STORE NEWS

A note from Allison in Reno...
Here in Reno we've been up and running our sister store since July 1st.
So many of you have found us through our website, from seeing our signs,
from being directed here by the needlework shop 2 doors down, or from word-of-mouth.
Everyone seems so excited to have us here, and we are thrilled to be here!
With new yarns and accessories coming in every day, I never know what
I will find when Jerome, the UPS man comes by!
If you are interested in these classes, or would like to be notified by group email (other than the occasional

Amanda continues as our Ecommerce Manager, filling those orders you've been placing

and crochets, too!

Please welcome Emily Elder as our new full-time Truckee employee.
In Truckee, you'll also find Leslie, Dot, and Jill.
Allison is still doing an amazing job running the Reno shop –
with the help of Dr. Elizabeth Grzymski (yes, we have a doctor on board!), and Phoebe.
Amanda is still doing an amazing job managing the Ecommerce orders –
I'm sure some of you have spoken with her via email.

The knitting classes in Reno and Truckee have been completely full
and our Reno waiting list is 100 people deep...
Sunday Scarf Class
Elizabeth is teaching a 2 hour "how to knit a scarf" class every Sunday afternoon from 1-3.
Availability is much higher for these classes, so please join us!

NEW YARNS COMING IN...

We've been getting all kinds of new yarns and needles from Anny Blatt,
Bouton d'Or, Trendsetter, Crystal Palace, Curious Creek Fibers, and Lantern Moon.
In the next month or so, keep an eye out for the new Spring Rowan line, as well as
yarns from Prism, GGH, Friends, Elsebeth Lavold and more!
