Laura met Ana, the owner of Yarn Carnival at a Hill Country Weavers retreat earlier this year, and just fell in love with her stunning yarns. Not only that, but the playful nature of these yarns won us over immediately. It helps that Leanne has a clown sister (no really, she went to clown college... It's really a thing!), so it seemed like this was a match made in yarn heaven! Yarn Carnival is the perfect finale on this 12th day of Yarn-mas!

Olivia met the mother-daughter team behind Solstice yarns at VK Live in Seattle and they graciously offered to send to send us several sample skeins to us. They did, and those skeins have been tempting us ever since! So much so that we are itching to visit their shop - Dublin Bay Knitting Company in Portland, OR, just so we can surround ourselves with more that goodness! We can't wait to cast on with this Luna Sock for the 11th Day of Yarn-mas!

Zen Yarn Garden is another company whose yarn we've often lusted after and admired at various knitting events. Rachel and Kristen can often be found "petting" all of the lovelies in their booth. Not only that, but this husband-and-wife team are some of the nicest people we've ever encountered! We are so happy to finally able to get a little of their one-of-a kind color on our shelves just in time for the 10th day of Yarn-mas!

This summer, there was a customer grassroots effort to introduce us to Holiday yarns in hopes that we would be able to carry their line of hand-dyes. It took us a little while, but we heard you! As soon as we had the concept for Yarn-mas, we just knew Holiday had to be a part of it (not only because of their name... their yarn is color-tastic, too!) We love the Flock Sock they've dyed for the 9th Day of Yarn-mas!

We met Dana of Unwind Yarn Company through Rachel of Unraveled Designs and Yarn who works here at JBW. Rachel is an avid knitting podcast listener and was introduced to Dana while listening to her podcast "Just One More Row." They connected recently on Ravelry, and once Rachel checked out Dana's beautiful hand-dyed yarns, she knew we needed to work with her! Kristen is a long-time fan of A Verb for Keeping Warm (aka. "Verb"), which is actually a yarn and fabric shop in Oakland, CA, so we figured this was the perfect excuse to get our hands on some of their amazing yarn! Kristine and Adrienne, the creative duo behind Verb, also make their own line of naturally-dyed yarns to sell in their shop and online. After several obsessive shopping trips in their booth at STITCHES West, we knew we had to work with them someday and were so thrilled when they agreed to dye a special color in their "Floating" base (Kristen's favorite) for the 7th day of Yarn-mas!

Laura had a hank of Phydeauxs scrumptious yarn in her stash and handed it to Leanne one day saying, "What about this?" Leanne said, "Heck, yes!" and that's how our relationship with Phydeaux Designs began. Brenda, the owner of Phydeaux Designs, is based out of Chico, CA, just a few hours away from us here in Reno, so she's practically local. But not only that, we love that her yarns truly do channel old-world elegance like this stunning color she whipped up for the 6th day of Yarn-mas! (Also, check out the stunning handmade buttons and jewelry she makes and sells in her shop!)

Laura has known Carol Sulcoski, owner of Black Bunny Fibers, for years - and they are always running into each other at various knitting events across the country. She's a super cool gal, former attorney, writer of knitting books, teacher of knitting skills, and designer of knitted things, and she also loves dyeing one-of-a-kind yarns (like this gorgeous sparkly sock!) We are so thrilled she agreed to work with us on this collection for the 5th day of Yarn-mas!

Based in Laura's home state of North Carolina, Fable Fibers grabbed our attention with their bookish charm (their yarn bases are named fun things like Autobiography, Folktale, Memoir, and Sonnet) and gorgeous colors! Laura actually met Lelah, the owner at a yarn summit in Las Vegas last year and knew at some point we'd have to collaborate. Yarn-mas seemed like the perfect opportunity! We hope you love this special color of Novel Sock that they dyed up just for us inspired by the 3rd day of Yarn-mas!

The owner of A Hundred Ravens contacted us earlier this year and we fell in love with their nerdy yarn and color names (many of us at JBW are Lord of the Ring fans and avid Whovians.) We looked them up and found out that they are a family-owned and operated business just like us, so we couldn't resist asking them to dye us up a little something special in their Lachos Sock for the 2nd Day of Yarn-mas!

Day 1: Loft from Brooklyn Tweed - SORRY, SOLD OUT!
Brooklyn Tweed Loft 1st Day of Yarn-mas - Woodsmoke
We know that Brooklyn Tweed isn't a hand-dye company, but we've been pining for their yarn from the moment we first laid eyes on its tweedy softness (not to mention that we have a serious knit-crush on Jared Flood...but who doesn't?) The stars have yet to align for the day we can carry BT yarns all the time, but by some Yarn-mas miracle, they were generous enough to send us a small batch of Loft in a lovely neutral shade called Woodsmoke. It's perfect to make some of BT's gorgeous shawl patterns like the Guernsey Triangle, Lumen, or Sempurvivium - all of which take just 2-3 skeins! Let's just hope that the staff here at JBW left enough to share with you all!
