Manos Del Uruguay Himalayan Vest Kit - Vests |
Taken from the Fall 2008 issue of Knitscene: "An innovative construction gives this vest its doubled and puffed look and its resulting insulated warmth. Styled after a hiker's quilted vest, this sporty piece will fit into everyday wear easily. Insert a zipper for closure or leave it open as shown". This project is suitable for the intermediate knitter.
Finished Measurements: 32" (35", 38", 41", 44", 47", 50")
Gauge: 10 sts/4 inches in the round on larger needles with yarn doubled.
One US size 9 circular needles 32" in length (plus a spare of that same needle) and two US size 13 circular needles 32" in length are required but not included.
This project asks for some roving to puff out the quilted sections and this is not included in the kit.
The kit contains sufficient yarn to comlete the project and the pattern magazine is optional!
