French Girl Violette Hat Kit - Hats and Gloves

With a nod to the 1920's... this very comtemporary chapeau can be effortlessly pulled on to dress up the most casual attire... the French velvet bow adds a final touch of femme fatale allure.
For Beginner Knitters.

A great project to learn new skills: creating simple cables and working in the round with double pointed needles. Suitable for the advanced beginner with the added benefit of being completely seamless. Violette finishes quickly in luxurious and lofty merino yarn.

You'll want the following materials, but they aren't included:

Size 17, 16" circular needles and size 17 double-pointed needles.
Tapestry needle
1.5 yds of 3/4" French velvet ribbon

8 sts and 8 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch
