My day purse 1 of 8

I have been using my hip holster as my daily purse worn crossbody since I received it from Jimmy's Wool. The only feature I think it's missing is a small zippered pocket inside the main compartment. Otherwise, I love the easily cleanable fabric and small size. It could also double as a project bag for socks.

Great Bag...with one slight problem 3 of 8

Got this as a Christmas gift that I had picked for myself. I instantly started a small sock pattern so that I could use the bag as a mini-purse. I love the long shoulder strap that allows me to strap the bag across my body. There is enough room in the larger pocket for my smartphone, my knitting project, my wallet, and my chapstick. All of the necessary items that I must have with me! The smaller pocket is really too small to use, but I managed to put some tissues in there. I love the color, and the fabric. I plan to use it as my main purse, and I will put it into a bigger purse as a wallet when a bigger bag is necessary. The only flaw? After only a few hours of using it, one clip came open and the bag fell off. It turned out that the clip actually over-opened and I had a hard time getting it to go back into place. After three days, this had happened so often, that I was becoming annoyed by it. After five days, both clips were opening, and I was not wanting to use the strap in public anymore, until I came up with a solution. I taped the clips shut with black electrical tape. Hopefully, this will solve the problem. I never intend to use the waist strap, and I can shorten the shoulder strap a lot so that the bag will fit into another bag without having to take off the strap. For the sale price of $16 - $20, I think it is a great deal! I would not pay the original price for it, though.

I love this purse. I have always carried a huge purse and never thought I could get away with a little one. I was wrong. I love the color and workmanship on this bag.

Love my new bag! I will probably never wear it on my hip, but it's great using the strap. The only change I would make is to make the top opening a little wider. Otherwise, it's pretty perfect!

 Caveats 6 of 8

I like the bag and think it's great used crossbody. However, when using it as a hip holster, it has some issues. It tends to slide from its position at the hip, so you can suddenly find yourself with a not-so-cool frontal pouch. It's a nice size for capacity, but it's size makes it a drawback when worn at the hip. On me, it looks a bit large as a hip holster (I'm a petite 5'4"), but it may look more proportionate on someone with a larger frame.

I like this, but mistakenly thought it was made of the same material as the larger bags.... but it is very nice.
