| This yarn is the perfect weight for making socks on size 1 or 2 needles, and what a bargain! I made a pair of fold over ankle socks with just over 2 balls, for a total cost of $9 with enough leftover for almost half another pair...that's hard to beat! Like all Rowan's Yorkshire Tweed, this yarn has a natural feel that I really like - it's not itchy, but it doesn't feel overly processed. I haven't tried it yet, but next on my agenda for this yarn is fair isle gloves. |

I'm using three colors of Creative Focus Worsted to make a fair isle hat, and it's spectacular! The 25% Alpaca content makes it super soft, and the variety of colors made it easy pick 3 for a hat - the hard part was not picking more than 3. My only complaint is that it's not tightly twisted, so it splits easily, but overall the extra trouble is completely worth it. A great yarn to wear against your skin! |
